montecristo number twos and cohiba siglo vi are the two best IMO........no way to legally get them sent..best way is to go to good cigar shop and they always have them......if the guy working there likes you he will sell them to you........in california i buy mine from a shop in santa monica

I went to Puerto Rico around 2001. I bought a box of 5 Cubans for around $90, and they were well worth it.

I've been driving myself insane trying to remember the brand. I'm almost certain they were Monte Cristos; they came in a yellow box which fit the five...but they weren't shaped like a tube. I don't know what it's called when the end you smoke shapes itself into a tip, but that's the way it was...and I don't see any of those for sale online when I look up Monte Cristos.

Steak, I live in Hollywood and may need you to hook me up with your Santa Monica guy. I asked for Cubans at a shop on the corner of Santa Monica and Vine, and the guy looked at me as if I asked for nuclear weapons.

I agree on the Monte Cristos.

If you have a friend who lives outside the US, simply have him remove the bands so as not to disturb the wrapper and have him write down which cigar is which and send the list and the cigars to you. Virtually impossible to tell that the cigars came from Cuba.

You guys are crazy. The cuban cigars are no big deal at all. The quality control is horrible and you would be much better served buying dominican cigars. I have smoked many cubans and I actually like the dominicans better.

I also do not think Cubans are any better than other good quality cigars.

I havent smoked any Cubans for over a year, but I will agree there is something special about them. They have a very subtle complexity, and taste that is unique. And it comes from the soil and climate combination found only in Cuba.

Dominicans, Hondurans and even some with African wrappers are great, and special in their own way, but do not posess that last 3% of what makes a great cigar a legendary smoke.

A friend was importing them into Mexico City, and selling online, but problems shut down that deal a year ago. Since then, my dailys are El Rey Del Mundo's.......Romeo Y Julietas.......and Punch Gran Cru.
