So he decided to scorch Mitch McConnell.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a stunning, public attack on his own party leader, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz accused Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of lying, and said he was no better than his Democratic predecessor and couldn't be trusted.

Cruz, a Texan who is running for president but ranks low in early polling, delivered the broadside in a speech on the Senate floor Friday, an extraordinary departure from the norms of Senate behavior that demand courtesy and respect.

"Not only what he told every Republican senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again, was a simple lie," Cruz said.

The only ones worth listening to are Trump and Cruz. Maybe Walker on a good day.

The rest are Democrats.

We’ve had a Republican majority in both houses of Congresses now for about six months.

What have they done?

First thing they did, was passed a $1 trillion crominbus plan filled with pork and corporate welfare.

Then they voted to fund Obamacare, voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty.

And then rammed through the confirmation of Loretta Lynch as attorney general.

Somehow I don’t think that’s what we had in mind when we voted them in.

No doubt about it, we got suckered.

Washington is a good ole' boys club, not the "two party system " so many want to believe it is.

I don't care what his motives are, I love watching Trump relentlessly bash the establishment and gaystream media with his unrepentant, unapologetic pro-American style. Obviously Cruz is locked and loaded ready to join the battle.

Good. The more the merrier.

It will take more than one good man to turn this ship around.

Cruz is smart enough to jump on the Trump band wagon & enjoy the ride...Trump /Cruz?

Dream Ticket! I never registered Republican so I couldn't vote in the Republican primaries though in
the general I always vote Republican. Last week finally I registered as a Republican only to support Trump
this year.

The American people have watched for decades as all the political experts have worked their magic and built
up this monstrous bureaucracy in DC where the streets are literally lined with slabs of expensive granite
paid for by innocent taxpayers thousands of miles away.

One year after Don Trump becomes president not only there won't be illegal aliens committing 611,000
crimes in Texas but there won't even be 611,000 illigal aliens in the entire country. Let's face the
problem is so big that it will take even an American with the girth of being like Trump a year or so
to clean things up & get the USA back on track.

If it works out that Trump wins the R nomination and Cruz is his VP pick, you and I can certainly discuss a heavy wager on that. Not a chance dims would beat that ticket.

I'd be more than willing. the chances of that ticket happening.....unlikely but the dems would take it.....they are scared of Rubio/Christie type ticket.....or the gov from Ohio. That's about it.

The Cruz ass kissing of Trump has been among the most entertaining aspect of the whole Trump saga. Trump started out saying about Cruz that he thought you had to be born in America to be POTUS. Cruz didn't take the bait. Cruz is many things, a vile, disgusting, manipulative, vindictive asshole. But he ain't dumb. He knows like the rest of us that Trump will not be the Republican nominee, and will drop out. He's hoping Trump throws his bluster and his followers behind Cruz, rather than go 3rd party. It won't make a difference because Cruz has as much of a chance to get the nomination as The Donald, but it's fun to watch.

It really is pretty simple for repubs.....if they could have a Kasich/Rubio ticket and pickup Florida and Ohio with them....which I think they could.....they are in the White House......any other combo is gonna be a huge dog.

However, they are too stupid to figure it out. Instead it will be a joke like Walker that may get thru and Hillary will slaughter him.

The gift that keeps on giving is giving a speech in Iowa. Just walked on stage:

http://www.mediaite.com/online/watch-live-donald-trump-campaign-rally-and-picnic-in-iowa/

Thanx for the site! Vintage Trump again from the heart & to the point, had the crowd begging for more,
and the beauty of it all was that the Des Moines Register reporters were banned. Trump trouncing
all opponents & their simpleton editors demand he get out of the race for his truthfull remarks about McCain.
By the way in the first significant poll taken completely after his McCain remarks that the politically correct
Universe was sure to knock Trump down a peg, Trumps lead is greater than ever. JULY 24th yesterday:

A YouGov survey found that 28 percent of registered Republican voters would vote for Trump as their
first choice, more than any of the other 15 Republican candidates in the race. That figure is up from the
15 percent who said they would support him in another YouGov poll earlier this month — a poll that Trump
also led. A distant second to Trump in the latest survey is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (14 percent);
followed by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (13 percent); and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (7 percent).

Trump's surging numbers come in the wake of comments he made about Arizona Sen. John McCain, also
a Republican. Last weekend, Trump questioned McCain's status as a war hero during a speech at the Iowa
Family Leadership Summit. n another poll taken earlier this week, 52 percent of likely Republican voters said
they viewed Trump at least somewhat favorably, compared to 51 percent who said the same about McCain.
However, 26 percent said they hold a very favorable view of Trump, while 14 percent said so about McCain.

Trump has tremendous instincts & intuition, his ability to size up a situation is uncanny.
