I think about this often but rarely talk to anyone about it. Now that fantasy football is such a big thing both from a popularity stand point and a money making stand point, are professional gamblers and professional fantasy football players at some level one and the same?

Is it valuable for gamblers to study fantasy football sites and vice versa?

I'm surprised I don't see more folks talking about this.

I think they should look at the FF sites. Too many gamblers worry about the number without knowing how it came to that number. People are quick to discount the FF sites without having a clue about them.

I keep hearing winning at FF is a lottery ticket. Seems like a lot of luck has to play into it to cash.

Well that's those million dollar pools with 500000 entires for 25$.

Thats basically a lottery as far as winning top prize.

But you can play a 50/50 against just 1 person for 10k a pop and have a 50% chance of 2x

I'm sure this has been beat to death but how the hell is that not gambling?

Only problem with this (atleast when using fan duel) both parties pay a 10% fee.

For example, if you were to both bet 100 dollars, total winnings be 180, no matter who takes it.

Doesn't the vig get smaller the bigger you go? And isn't that the same as most sit n goes in poker? That'd be cool if they did a sit n go 50/50 in poker.
