Crazy thought of the day... how about Addai at #2 in your fantasy leagues?

Last year Addai was dinged and the entire Colts offensive line was hurt. He had nowhere to go. The years before he was averaging like 11 TDs and 1500 total yards a season. Donald Brown is going to be the backup and will get looks but he's not going to steal goal line work or anything. A healthy Addai could be the #2 pick this year with the line back in tact.

You'd be surprised how much Brown will be used. Addai simply is not as versatile as Brown and quite frankly, Addai hasn't had an truly impressive seasons. He's not even a 1st rounder, imo.

Donald Brown will be the starter before the year is up. Addai's Yards per Carry was aweful last year.
06 4.8 YPC
07 4.1 YPC
08 3.5 YPC

I would shy away from Addai. I have him going in the 5th round along side Brown. If you are going to take one you better grab the other. I just wouldn't want to waste a 4th and 5th round pick to do so. Better Value in taking Brown in the 6th round if he falls.

Then again if Addai shows anything this year and plays the entire year he could help you win your pool if you get him in the 3-5 rounds.

I'm very high on MJD this year, if your in a Points per reception league you can almost make a case of taking him over AP for number 1. Improved Jacksonville O-line is only gonna help him. As far as Addai, it seems like such a reach at #2, if you like him there is much more value in getting him in the 2nd or 3rd round then 2nd overall

Addai has already been named the starter and his ability to block will keep him in the game quite a bit. Brown is a versatile back but Addai is as well and I'll take the starter with experience in the offense and blocking skills over the newcomer who will only spell Addai from time to time. Brown might get 10-15 touches a game but I think Addai still gets 20-25.

You realize he was injured and the entire starting offensive line was injured as well? Last season means squat IMO. Addai has already been named the starter.

Yes I know that is why I believe YPC is a better gage then Total Yards. Addai is slowing down already injury or not. When Brown gets his chance and puts up 100+ yards it will be hard to keep him off the feild.

How can you use any offensive statistic to judge him when he was dinged and running behind an offensive line full of backups? Of course his YPC will go down considerably... I don't get it.:think2:

I've just never been impressed with Addai. He's decent at all the traits but nothing phenomenal. There's at least 12 other RBs I'd take over Addai.

Im no fantasy player but if your looking for a darkhorse back who may end up with some nice stats.....Mike Bell is looking like the #1 back in New Orleans right now. He's healthy and from what ive heard easily the best back in camp so far. Bush is still having knee problems and i just dont think Payton is high on pierre....They will still throw 35-50 times a game so all his carries could be quality ones. His best yr he had over 600 yds and i think 8TD's in limited starts. He could easily match that if he does end up with the starting job....

That's quite the darkhorse considering Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas are assured a ton of touches. Beat writers only reports lately on the Saints' camp say that Bell is the leading candidate to win the #3 RB spot.
