Covers.com "headline" game. Good fade?

Yesterday, Covers.com featured a headline saying that Columbia +14 was a great play since Princeton's star guard was out. Everybody and their mother jumped on Columbia because of that. Princeton blew them out wire-to-wire and Columbia lost the half and the game.

Tomorrow, Covers.com is saying a "well rested" Stanford team should blow Oregon as 14 point favs.

Question: Are Covers "headline" plays good fades?

I would say no, I am sure that the headline picks do pretty well or they will stop posting them altogether. They only post these picks in hopes that you will one day pay a tout from the site I think.

That being said, anyone laying a 14 point juice with Stanford needs to check into a hospital if that is there pick of the day!

I mean we have about 85 games to choose from and you take a favorite at over 7 points??? HAS to better game than this one if you like the favorite!

I remember the legendary GOLD SHEET featured games were always a major fade.

However, even have said that, a quality and first rate publication.

One of my all-time favs.

The wrong assumption would be that their "headline" game must be good or else they would not post it.
