degenerates will still bet and probably lose at a higher rate than before
Sure but it is not going to add to much considering the infrastructure investments already made. Also, if it truly won't allows multiple wagers in the same game than that is going to rule out a lot of the Sunday night and Monday night parlay bailouts that some desperate folks like to make.

I was down the NJ shore last week and they have signs all over saying sports betting coming to Delaware

This is so stupid. Parlay lottery will never bring in the revenue they were looking for. The only reason I was hoping for Delaware is that more states would have followed

I'm glad to see the NFL has stuck to it's strict anti-gambling policy. That kind of integrity is so rare these days.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy a handful of Dallas Cowboys-branded lottery scratch-offs.

I am confused what the difference is? Why do they care what type of betting is allowed?

They are concerned with the integrity of the league when it comes to sports wagering, but don't want to admit that fans like myself would watch good matchups but have no interest in a run of the mill game, but thanks to gambling I will watch a St.Louis vs Oakland.

I truly believe that the average person watches the NFL for the following reasons"

They follow "Their Team". Local team, life long fan, etc.
Some for Fantasy football (personally, think the only thing stupider is watching is figure skating)
The real reason why people watch- Gambling.

People say the seasons are too long in basketball and baseball, but the only reason the NFL is so popular is because guys think that since they follow the games and they are once a week they can do a much better job wagering on them. Most people are not like most of us here, who follow sports every night and know exactly what happened in which games and who got hurt.

This year, I did not wager on baseball, I don't even know the lineups for any of these teams. When I wagered on Baseball, I knew every player that optioned, waived, injuried, etc.

I am suprised the NFL has not asked NBC to tell Al Michaels to STFU with gambling related comments, as he likes to say, "That TD mattered to some people."

Deleware ought to go rent a giant cruise boat from Carnival or someone (Half of them are empty anyways) and drive it 3 miles offshore full of 10000 people every sat and sunday morning and take all bets

The NFL is so uptight they'd probaly hire some navy seals to torpedo the ship.

On the Delaware home page it says:

News Update: September 2nd, 2009
Parlay Betting to begin on September 10th:
Delaware Park is still anticipating starting NFL parlay betting only on Thursday, September 10th and expect to have the parlay cards available after 12 noon on the 10th. However, we are still awaiting further direction from the Delaware State Lottery as to rules and regulations associated with the parlay betting. Please check back with us prior to September 10th.

Knowing how government works here in the states you will have to bet 10 to win 5 on a 3 team parlay. LOL

So essentially it is the same damn thing Oregon had but you have to go to the race track to get them?

What a crock of shit this turned out to be.
