Is anyone canceling any trips that they have already planned and paid for due to this Virus. It has reached california and i believe the deaths are up to 6 right now.

I am supposed to go to Las Vegas for the tournament which i have to stop in LA to pick up a flight to Vegas.

so is any others taking this seriously, which we should and postponing their trip,...also has anyone heard if the airlines are allowing people to cancel their flight ticket without any penalty like they normally do when changing your ticket

Going to Whistler at the end of this month - worried my friend might cancel - he is a nut - spent 10K on a security door to his bedroom and bought a gas mask after 911

100 people recently have died in Florida due to the flu. But no documented cases of Coronavirus there .. Kinda puts this thing in perspective.

I think that's really misleading. There are two things if correct (im basing off media) make this exponentially worse.

1) death rate is around 2%. Based on a 0.1% death rate of flu, it us 20x more likely to kill you if infected.

2) more contagious than the flu

If these things are correct the numbers will catch up and overtake the flu if not contained or vaccinated. It's only because it hasn't reached us yet.

To be honest , it was a eye opener to find out thousands die from the flu every year. Had no idea

Wow. Well let me open your eyes some more. The flu epidemic of 1918 killed over 650,000 people in the united states. 30 to 50 million worldwide.

I know all about what happened in 1918.. and obviously that was a generational health epidemic … Just didn't realize the flu still has a death rate into the thousands each year.. My bad !
