Sporting Braga vs Glasgow Rangers

Braga +131 \ Glasgow +193 \ Draw +234 \ O/U 2.5

Before we dive too deep into the bases, I’ve got a couple of picks from the pitch for ya —— because this first bet was just too good to miss. When I was perusing the Europa League lines and I saw Over 2.5 at plus money for this tie between Rangers and Braga I knew I’d be taking out the HAMMER.

Both clubs will fancy their chances of further progression, which should lead to a relatively open game in Portugal despite it being only the first leg. Beyond that, in tomorrow’s game, we’ll see two sides who really struggle to keep clean sheets —— with Rangers giving up an average of 1.42xG per 90 minutes in their European competitions, and Bragga fairing only slightly better having allowed 1.11xG per 90 minutes throughout the competition.

So neither team can defend, can they score? Well, the Rangers have scored at every stop throughout the competition, including putting 4 past Germany’s second favorite son (Dortmund.) It’s not just in Europe either, as the Scottish side has scored in every game they have played since February 2, and luckily for us, they’ve also conceded at least once in each of their last three. On the flipside, Bragga has scored 2+ goals at home 5 times so far in their 10 games of European competition, and coming off the back of a marvelous second-half performance this past weekend against Benfica, I fully expect the Portuguese side to attack with confidence and belief.

So I’m predicting we see goals from both teams, and I’m going to lay some extra juice on the idea we see multiple goals from one team —— as they’ve both done so in more than half of their games this year.

Two-Leg Pitch Parlay

Frankfurt vs Barcelona

If you are still suffering sticker shock seeing Barcelona competing in the Europa league you are not alone, but after a disastrous start to the season that eventually lead to the hiring of a hometown legend, Xavi, the Spanish superpower is back to its old ways. And fresh off a convincing 1-0 victories against Sevilla and Real Madrid, I see no reason that Barcelona will be denied victory by a Frankfurt side that lacks the striker to threaten Barcelona when/if they are caught in possession.

RP Leipzig vs Atlanta

And while one team that is traveling to Germany this evening I find myself backing, the other traveling band —— this time from Italy, I’m going to fade. The magic that has powered Atlanta to be one of the most entertaining sides in Europe over the past 24 months has now dissipated. Whether that does to transfers or injuries, this is not the same side that was creating such brilliance just a year ago. Now that’s not to say they’ve fallen off a cliff, but I do feel the injury to Zapata will drastically hinder their ability to advance.

Barcelona and RB Leipzig To Win (+167)
