This post is for the guys (gals) who are not really horse handicappers but would like a little fun while the rest of sports are down.

I'm inviting anyone who feels like they know how to handicap to post an expected winner for our fellow posters who may want a little action.

Good luck.

That should say "action while the rest of sports is down"

Rosie is this site's best handicapper. Maybe he'll see this and throw in a couple of horses.

The horses I'm giving you here today are my picks. Most (maybe all) will be favs or near favs. But I like them a lot or I wouldn't post.

Thanks guys. Hope you made some money today. Just got back from Seabrook, NH, now called "The Brook". The crowd was about half of what it usually is. Maybe less.

Had a couple of winners here and a couple of seconds. Nothing special. One more to go at Sam Houston.

Ha. Horse racing always has surprises. It seems most aren't good.

Our #5 at Sam Houston threw his jockey out of the gate. Automatic loser.

We'll see you tomorrow. Good luck.

Getting to my handicapping now. I'll try to do the earlier races first in case I see anything I like. I really wish other veteran handicappers would contribute a few of their best plays too.

Another thing I thought of is that some of you guys may not know that by signing up with Twinspires.com you can watch all horseracing everywhere live on video. You can also set up a betting account with them. I've never bet horses online. Again maybe some of the guys who have could come in here and offer advice for the newcomers to horse racing.

Again the purpose of this thread is to try to give a little guidance to those who are less familiar with horseracing but want a little fun while sports betting is down.

Good luck.

Hope you don't mind if I post a couple for today. This is my first post as I just joined the site due to NHL withdrawals - a friend told me about it. Been losing money at the track for a long time, though, so I guess I'm qualified.

If you open a Twin Spires account you can get Bris pps [bet 1 race on any card you download]and that's the total cost for the pps. You will also get THE Profit line top 5 ranked horse. These 2 handicapping tools are great for identifying true contenders.

Melniko, sure. All contributions are welcome.

Lt1, Thank you, sir. That info is even valuable to me and I've been handicapping for forever.

Good start. 1st at Gulfstream paid $66.40 for a $2.00 exacta. That should pretty much allow us to play with earned money for the rest of the day. Wish I could start this way every day.
