LAS VEGAS -- For the second time this year, emotions ran high between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor at a UFC media event.
The two are scheduled to fight for a second time this weekend, at UFC 202 inside T-Mobile Arena. The welterweight bout is a rematch of a fight at UFC 196 in March. Diaz, who accepted that bout on 11 days' notice, won via second-round submission.
Before the first fight, McGregor punched Diaz's hand during a prefight stare-down. Diaz's camp, including his older brother and UFC welterweight Nick, immediately jumped on stage, and security was forced to break it up.

The two were at it again Wednesday. After McGregor (19-3) arrived to the news conference approximately 30 minutes late, Diaz (19-10) decided to walk out.
Diaz and McGregor jawed at one another from a distance as Diaz and his camp of about 10 left the theater. McGregor smiled at first, but the two soon began yelling after Diaz flipped him off.
"Hey, f--- your whole team, how about that?" Diaz shouted.
"F--- your whole team," McGregor yelled in response. "You'll do nothing. Shut your f---ing mouth. You'll do nothing. You'll do f---ing nothing. Not one of you will do nothing. Get the f--- out of here."

Before exiting, Diaz threw what appeared to be a water bottle toward the stage. McGregor, who is still the UFC featherweight champion but demanded a nontitle rematch against Diaz after the first fight, responded by grabbing full water bottles from the dais and launching them in Diaz's direction. Security was once again quick to break it up.
UFC president Dana White, who appeared agitated at the start of the news conference when McGregor didn't show up, then said, "That's a wrap. Get them out of here."
White later told SportsCenter that anyone from the Diaz and McGregor teams who was present during the incident will be banned from Friday's weigh-in, per MGM security.

McGregor, from Dublin, Ireland, has butted heads with the promotion in the past regarding media obligations. Earlier this year, he refused to interrupt a training session in Iceland to fly to Las Vegas for a scheduled news conference and commercial shoot. The UFC responded by pulling him from a UFC 200 main event on July 9.
"The Vegas traffic is heavy this time of the day," McGregor joked after arriving to Wednesday's news conference late. "There must be a McGregor show going on, because the place is packed out."

In 2014, the Nevada State Athletic Commission fined Jon Jones $50,000 and Daniel Cormier $9,000 after they were involved in a brawl in the lobby of the MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
"I'm disappointed," NSAC chairman Anthony Marnell III said. "I wish for them, the UFC and the mixed martial arts community that they would act like the professionals they are. We will address what happened at the press conference in the normal course of business."

Ticket prices for UFC 202 slashed.

Perhaps motivated by wanting to fill up the seats for Saturday's fights in Las Vegas, the UFC slashed prices on tickets for UFC 202 over the last 24 hours.
Some upper-level seats at T-Mobile Arena that originally cost $365 were reduced by 40 percent to $215. The best seats located right by the octagon cost $9,995 earlier this week. By Friday morning, the face value on those seats were cut by 20 percent to $7,995.

Other premium seats that cost $2,950 were reduced to as low as $1,850.
UFC 202 will be headlined by the main event pitting Conor McGregor against Nate Diaz.
UFC spokesman Dave Sholler declined to comment.

Even with the price cutting, UFC figures to pull in at least $7 million in gate revenue, which would make it among the most successful cards in history.
It still can be viewed as a disappointment given McGregor's status in the sport. Reasons given by insiders for the lack of interest is a drop-off in the crowd traveling to town from Ireland, and a local Vegas audience that is somewhat tapped out from UFC 200, the card McGregor-Diaz was supposed to be on.

Never been so unsure about how a fight will go. I can see a case for Diaz beating the hell out of Conor being fully prepared now and having pretty much every measurable advantage, but i could also see Conor learning from the first fight and pacing himself better and winning a decision.

Write-ups and predictions for the 5 main event fights courtesy of Fox.

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor.

Nate Diaz walked away with a second-round submission win during his first clash with Conor McGregor but the fight was far closer than the results make it seem. McGregor was actually punishing Diaz in the first round before gassing during the second stanza. Diaz did accept that fight on 10 days’ notice, however.
Now that both fighters have had a full training camp to prepare for one another, we should get an even more compelling fight than the first time around -- if that’s even possible.
McGregor is one of the more dynamic strikers in the promotion and the bombs he landed in the first fight probably would have dropped the average fighter … but Diaz has shown time and time again that he’s not the average fight. With some of the best boxing in the UFC coupled with a ground game that has helped him earn nine UFC submissions -- only second to Royce Gracie -- Diaz has a good chance to take home his second win over the featherweight champion.

Prediction: Nate Diaz by third-round submission

Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira

Not only are Glover Teixeira and Anthony Johnson currently the two highest-ranked light heavyweights outside of champion Daniel Cormier, they also are two of the hardest-hitting, fighters the UFC has to offer.
Rumble has ridiculous power in his hands, as evidenced by his 10, count ‘em, 10 UFC knockouts. And he’s shown time and time again that standing in front of him and trading is a bad idea. Just ask Cormier, who Johnson sent flying with an uppercut during their title fight.
If “Rumble” wants to get another shot at UFC gold, he’ll have to get past Teixeira, a talented boxer with a sneaky good ground game. It’s be interesting to see if Teixeira chooses to test his stand-up against Johnson or force the fight to the ground, where he clearly holds the edge. Either way, this explosive fight could steal the show.

Prediction: Anthony Johnson by second-round knockout

Donald Cerrone vs Rick Story

Donald Cerrone continues his stint in the UFC welterweight division at UFC 204 and he’ll get his first crack at top-10 talent in veteran Rick Story.
Story is coming off an impressive win against Tarec Saffiedine in his last fight, but welterweight Donald Cerrone appears to be a completely different monster. “Horror” will absolutely need to use his strong wrestling to neutralize Cerrone’s kickboxing. If he does that, he has a chance to pull out the victory. If not, it’ll be a long night.

Prediction: Donald Cerrone by decision

Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Mike Perry

Welterweight Hyun Gyu Lim returns after more than a year away to take on UFC newcomer Mike Perry. Lim has won three of his five fights in the UFC, and all of them by way of first- or second-round knockout. He’ll have his hands with Perry, however, who has finished all seven of his professional fights with punches.
Lim has the experience edge here and fighting in the UFC can be a daunting task for anyone. Which is why it’s hard for me not to pick the veteran in this welterweight fight.

Prediction: Lim by decision

Tim Means vs. Sabah Homasi

Tim Means was originally slated for an exciting tilt with fellow welterweight Sean Strickland until Strickland withdrew due to injury. Now, he’ll face Ultimate Fighter season 21 veteran Sabah Homasi, who has finished his last six professional wins.
Means is a rangy striker who has shown he can keep a high pace for 15 minutes. He lands 4.03 significant strikes per minute, far more than the UFC average of 2.5 and averages nearly one knockdown per fight.
Homasi will be game, but Means is has looked better than ever over the last two years, winning five of his last six.

Prediction: Means by third-round knockout
