Conference Tourney Trends

Here are a few conference tourney trends:

MISSOURI VALLEY - Faves are 10-4 in the quarters, semis and finals. Creighton has won 13 of its last 14 tourney games SU and cashed in 10 of 14, winning four of the last five titles.

CAA- Favorites are 13-5 the last two tournaments.

WCC- Favorites have covered in seven of eight semifinal games the last four years.

SUN BELT - Dogs are 6-3 in the first round the last three years with the favorites cashing 15 of 21 in subsequent games.

WAC - Favorites were 5-0-1 after the first round last year.

BIG EAST - Dogs 'covered' eight of 12 in the first round the last three years.

A-10 - The favorite has covered four straight in the finals and 10 of the last 11.

C-USA - Dogs were 10-4-1 in the first round. A different teams has won the title the last four years.

Last season 'true' home favorites were 18-6 ATS in conference tourneys. In conference semis the favorites have gone 40-27, covering 24 of 34 in 2002.

Lute doesnt care about the conference tourney so count Arizona out (not that they had much chance this year anyway...)

I think Lute will care alot more this year then normal. They need to come out with a sense of urgency if they are going to want a better seed and also if they want to play well in the tournament. I don't know what you mean about them not having much a chance. I'm glad that they haven't played well lately because I think they will piss all over anyone in that conference except stanford so I hope the line is low first round.
