Concussion

Has anyone here ever gotten a concussion? When does it go away? I was knocked unconscious on Saturday and i'm still completely out of it.

Yea, I went to the ER yesterday and they ran a bunch of tests. No fractured skull so at least I got that going for me.

They said it may last up to 2 weeks. I can't imagine being like this for 2 weeks.

Idk. Blacked out fell and hit my head. When I woke up there was a bunch of people standing over me asking if I was okay. They stood me up and they were holding me up walking me out and I passed back out. Woke up the next day and couldn't even stand up.

They probably told you not to drive. I think they told me to sleep sitting up in like an EZ-Chair or something (it was a while ago)

The symptoms only lasted a couple of days with me.

Have had at least four. Two baseball, one football, one soccer. Effects lingered for days, but got worse the more I got. Not sure it's related, but I now get migraines caused by light. If I look at the sun or someone takes a picture with a flash I get these tunnel vision migraines where I can't see out of portions of my perifery that lasts for hours.

Hope not. They ran a bunch of tests at the hospital and nothing major was found. Asked a lot of questions about blood clots and blood thinners. Don't really know if there is a test for those. I was nowhere near drunk enough to just fall out.

The real bad problems happen if you get a 2nd concussion before your 1st one is healed. The results of that are catastrophic.

Concussions are bs! Just went for a follow up appt and was told I have severe symptoms. Doctor is holding me out of work for 2 weeks. Told me no physical activity, reading, tv, or computers. WTF am I supposed to do? I've been severely physically injured before but your brain way worse.
