Computer predictions

Hey all,

Today, while researching some stuff I came across two places where the most important soccer matches are being predicted by a computer. I actually found a third one, but to get access to that one you need to pay, so that's maybe for later. I decided to add their predictions in an Excel sheet and from today on I will track them and post their results here.

Note that I let them play everything (even small odds of 1.12 and such) and stake everything with 1 unit. I also predict the outcome of these matches myself for a while to see the difference.

These were the results of today, excluding two matches of which I haven't found the result yet. Over/unders are not counted in the profits, but are named just for tracking.

System 1:
1x2 picks: Day 28/16 +17.39 units / YTD 28/16 +17.39 units
o/u picks: Day 24-20 / YTD 24-20

System 2:
1x2 picks: Day 28/16 +13.83 units / YTD 28/16 + 13.83 units
o/u picks: Day 10/8 / YTD 10-8

My predictions:
1x2 picks: Day 21/23 -2.34 units / YTD 21/23 -2.34 units

years ago i used betting genius software it gave few parlay wins on NFL and Soccer i remember one pick was Lecce to win from seri A and lecce had only one win out of over 28 games so i stuck that pick in parlay and that was the late game so i had all games correct but after all lecce won that game and that was the last win for them and they relegated..but i never understood what was the calculation for that game.. and the provider stoped updating .. so i guess they work sometimes but cant rely on it all the time and if you buy one make sure updates will be available.

The one you have to buy has updates every two days, which is normally enough as it normally takes at least 3 days for a team to play again. I'm not really playing these bets yet, the systems have to prove themselves first. I found it funny to see that out of all games they came up with the same record, although the winning games were not the same.

Sounds like a great win back in those days. Good thing, Lecce is back and struggling again. Maybe it's time for a deja vu!

Some interesting stuff going on today. System one seems to be pretty reliable and can make you a profit. On the other hand system two had a lot of trouble and ended up with a negative bankroll in the end.

System 1:
1x2 picks: Day 84-51 +62.43 units / YTD 112-67 +79.82 units
o/u picks: Day 65-70 / YTD 89-90

Pretty solid in predicting the correct outcome of a game, ending up in a nice profit over two days in case you would play every game. The under/over predictions are based on stats, but doesn't really seem to be trustworthy enough for regular plays.

System 2:
1x2 picks: Day 60-75 -19.28 units / YTD 88-91 -5.45 units
o/u picks: Day 47-35 / YTD 71-55

Yesterday they could fall back on the same score (record wise) as System 1, but with a smaller profit. This time they were unable to come up with a decent score and had a -19.28 unit score for the day. Interesting to see what will happen next.

I didn't have time to predict all the games myself, so I decided to skip that part. Note that both systems spread the outcome from time to time. They can use 1X and X2 in case they are not totally sure. In those cases both a win and a draw count as a successful bet for the correct odds. However, whenever you are going to bet 1X on a game yourself, the odds will be much worse. System one also comes up with a (smaller) profit in case the system made a choice in those 1X X2 bets. System two would end up with an even larger depth.

The over/unders still seems to be hard to predict, the game results on the other hand seem to be really great.

System 2:

Another killing day for system 2, although their over/under record is better than system 1. I'm going to drop this system from now on as they seem to be not good enough.
