I'm completely aware how stupid this topic is, nonetheless I find it rather amusing. Living here in Costa Rica, I'm sure all of you at some point have seen an old NFL, NBA, NHL, etc etc jersey worn by some guy who has a 99% probability of not knowing whom the Jersey name refers to.
For example, I get a kick out of seeing old Randall Cunningham Eagle jerseys or Jeff Hostetler Raider j'sys..things like that. Why? Because most of these were brought in as 'roma americana de segunda' or used american clothing sold cheaply around here.
I've seen all kind of the jerseys in the past but they're usually of pretty well known players, however just the other day I saw a guy with a KC Eric Rhett jersey and it just made me giggle.
Does anyone have any similar experiences or seen any other weird athlete's names on the back of jerseys around here?
How about when you see someone just wearing a shirt that says something really f'n odd, and they probably dont have an idea what it says. For example one day I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said: Dont complain about my driving a "MAN" gave me my drivers license. What the hell is up with that?. But my question is, If he knew would he still be wearing it?

I once saw a guy at Big Dogs in escazu wearing a Larry Bird Jersey ... ( my favorite player of all time ) ... I went up to the kid and told him if he could name 5 current Celtics I would give him a $100 and pay his tab, He could only come up with one Celtic , who happened to be retired and none other than Bird , although He called him Leroy Bird. I thought it was so funny I ended up buying him a beer.
I make comments about these types of sightings all the time. I lived in Nicaragua for a stint and saw some doozies since they had all sorts of stuff sent down as relief after their civil war.
Btw Erict Rhett, that's classic. I think I've seen the guy with the Cunningham - I doubt there are more than one and I recall seeing it.
Here are my top sightings in Central America - remember them all like yesterday.
Alex English Nuggets jersey
Rolando Blackmon Mavs jersey
"I'm the big sister." - worn by a "street thug" in Nicaragua who I watched rough up some guys with a knife.
"Kiss me I'm Irish." - My Nicaraguan maid in CR, who....let's just say, had a mustache.
