I've been to Vegas at least 7 or 8 times and the last few times I have had my room and food comp'd @ Paris, Bally's or Caesar's (all owned by the same company).

Last time, I stayed at the Alladin, which I will never do again and haven't been to Paris (where we are planning to stay) in over a year. I called and spoke with casino marketing and they offered me a lower rate, but did not offer to comp the entire room up front, which is fine with me, because based on my play, I don't think that will be a problem.

But let's just say for instance, they do not comp my entire stay, has anyone ever tried speaking with the race and sports book to see what kind of deals they may offer? I was transferred to that department, but I was disconnected on accident the first time and the second time, I left a voice mail message. I was told they may be able to get me a better rate, because I give them a lot of action during my stay (ususally play at $500 to a $1000 per game). Average blackjack hand is over $100.00, but I do play occassionally up to $500 to $1000 per hand.

Has anyone had any luck in dealing with the race and sportsbook for better rates?

Just curious.

Thanks,

Chalk

I spoke to several sportbooks at different hotels about getting comped for my betting. Without knowing how much play I gave them, they all said NO. It doesn't calculate in to your comp rating. Personally I don't see why as they have a 10% house edge against you.

if you are playing $100 a hand at paris, forget about the room comp. they want somewhere around $200 a hand, and you will get partial RFB.

learn pickem real quick, give them 4 hours a day, and you get room and partial RFB

paris is nothign famcy, stay next door a ballys, easier comps, and a short walk to paris, all covered too!

Bigbet1234,

I agree, Bally's is where the comps are at. There is much more value by staying at Bally's. However, we really like the whole atmosphere and ladies better at Paris. The food is a wash, as I really don't care for anything except Mon Ami' Gabi.

The last two times I stayed at Paris, they did take care of me. They don't really care about the sports book wagering, which I can't understand. They will give free drinks away to a horse player who bets $3.00 per race, but I was hard press to get a drink ticket for a sports wager even though I play $500 - $1000 per wager.

I called and spoke with casino marketing. They quoted a rate of $90.00 per night on the weekdays, but $125.00 per night on weekends for Paris. I was then transferred to the Sports Book, and the lady, Sara, who was extremely nice and helpful, gave me a price of $90.00 per night, even on the weekends.

I believe I will still be comp'd based upon my play, but even if I am not, I want to spend as little as possible on the hotel room, because if I lose, that's the last thing I want to pay for.
