Houston gets it done. One play so far today:

UNC +2.5 UNC seems like the hot team this tourney, and even before that. They need to play ALL 40 minutes, unlike their Baylor game- where they stopped being offensively aggressive 2H.
Seeing it the same way, on it with you!

Seeing Jacquez for UCLA (2nd leading scorer) has an ankle injury. Not sure how much of a factor it will be bc the line didn't move and reports are that he practiced fine yesterday. Something to watch though.

UNC pulls it out late.

Small:
Houston/ Villanova- under 59.5 1H Really like these two defensively. Houston has already limited two good offensive teams in Illinois and Arizona. Villanova was arguably the best defensive team in the Big East, and has stopped it up even more so in their last 6-7 games. Wish the total was a couple points higher.

Kansas/ Miami. FL- under 67.5 1H Both of these teams are playing much better defense in the tourney than in the regular season. Miami uses their scramble defense to disrupt opponents, which I think will cause Kansas to take care of their possessions more carefully. Kansas has stepped up their D a lot, and I think Providence was lucky to get as close as they did. These first halves, when defenders don't have any fatigue, seem to be paying off. A hot 3 point shooter, like Caleb Love was in the 2H of the UNC game, can ruin that.

Hopefully can keep this run going.

Small:
UConn Women -4/ -2 1H They are all healthy, play fast, and are strong on the offensive boards. They also play this in front of a mostly home crowd. Don't know much about NC State, so keeping it small.

WSU/ Texas A&M- under 62 1H A decent sized play for me. Two well-rested teams, both athletic on the defensive end. I've seen both play once in the NIT tournament so far, and was impressed also at their communication as a team on D. Neither team, though, is overly impressive scoring-wise. WSU was last in the PAC 12 in FG pct. A&M's scoring abilities is better, but they play to the pace of their opponents. In their Oregon and Wake games in the tourney, the pace was slower, the possessions longer.

7-0-1 on last 8 plays. Here's number 9:

Texas A&M -4 (-115) The Aggies have been playing with teams in the NIT. Beat Wake and Oregon fairly easily. Against WSU, they were dominating so much that they basically just burned clock for the last 7-8 minutes of the 2H. And I'm not sure this is just a tournament thing. At the end of their SEC season, they whipped Arkansas by 18, beat Auburn, Florida and Alabama on the road by 16. Their mid-season losing streak killed their season, probably cost them an NCAA berth, but even during that streak, they only got beat bad by Auburn. The Aggies just have a much more athletic, skilled team than Xavier. Better defenders too.

Final:
Kansas -2 1H Going to play it 1H, and if Kansas gets behind, bet the "live" bet. UNC just eliminated their arch rival, Duke, might still be in a celebratory mood..start slowly...like the UConn Women's team vs. SC. UConn just beat last year's champ, Stanford, then came out flat 1Q/ 1H. GL to all Kansas bettors.
