Last week: 11-6 (+24.1)
YTD: 30-21 (+40.1)
10* games: 5-3
Same-game teasers: 8-3

5* Teaser: Boise St pk, over 69
I almost feel this game could be teased either way, while keeping the over. Bowling Green +15 just might work too. However, I look to Boise to win the game on their blue field, and for it to be very, very high scoring.

Looking forward to sharing another winning week with all of you.

Good luck!

OK, guys, I'm going out on a limb here and playing the teaser both ways. If Boise wins between 1 and 15 points, I win both teasers. Of course, if the two teams don't score 69 points, then I blew it. I like my chances.

3 plays on 1 game, GO REB! I hope you hit them all--15 points is a pretty big middle, and judging by both teams' previous games this season 69 points should be no problem.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys. Yep, if you're going to middle a game, 15 points is definitely the way to go.

I'm going to fade your side and take Boise on the smurf turf, Reb, but I'm playing the over with you. Maybe Boise will win 49-40, we'll both hit our overs and you'll hit your middles. GL

El Iguana, seems that there's plenty of room for everyone to win something, lol. If I can win my two teasers, you can have the side. Best of luck to you.

Well, anyone with me tonight didn't do too well. When the game went 68 points, 1 point shy of the needed 69, we went 0-3 (-16.5*)

Sorry, guys, I misjudged this one all the way.

What a helluva way to start the week. We have a lot to make up, so we'll be needing some real winners really soon.

OK, lets cover the Mississippi games for Saturday.

7* Ole Miss -2
I am 1-1 with Ole Miss so far, and I can't see them losing at home to Wyoming. I know that the Cowboys have come a long way in the last two years, but the Rebels were embarrassed there last season and will refuse to allow the same embarrassment at home. Here is what you might hear from some people about Ole Miss this week: Starting QB Micheal Spurlock is injured and out of the game; starting MLB and heart and soul of the defense Patrick Willis is out; starting SS Jamarcus Sanford is out; starting WR Mario Hill is out. All but Spurlock are probably actually out. Spurlock might see action, but sophomore Robert Lane will start. Lane is a former Parade All-American, and a lot of people around the Ole Miss program are excited to see what he can do given the chance. Even with injured starters -- missing Willis will hurt the most -- the Rebels still have better talent than the Cowboys. It could be a close game, but the home team should have no problem grabbing the W.

7* Georgia -14
This is a lot of points for a road favorite in the SEC, but it is not asking a lot for the Bulldogs to beat the Bulldogs. Despite beating an out of sorts Tulane team, Miss St still is not a very good football team. Defensively they will give the good fight, but offensively they will not be doing much at all. Georgia will keep pounding on them and methodically control the game. State does not have the offensive firepower, or the OL, to do much of anything when they have the ball. Jerious Norwood would be known as one of the top backs in the country if he played for a good team, but he does not have an OL to give him much running room. Even if they play uninspired -- and it's really hard being inspired in Starkville -- Georgia should cover this 2-TD spread without a whole lot of trouble.

More later in this same thread.

Reb, you know I respect your opinions, but UGH......that team looked terrible against VANDERBILT. Wyoming has a lot of experience on their team, and I'm afraid the SEC will be embarassed on Saturday.

Unhappy Orgeron shuts down practice

The Clarion-Ledger

OXFORD — Frustrated with his team's lack of execution and energy, Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron kicked the Rebels off the practice field Tuesday.

The football team returned after about an hour.

"The tempo wasn't there, the execution wasn't there, so I told them to come back later," Orgeron said. "If they don't practice the way I want them to practice, that's it. We're done."

Orgeron's patience grew thin after about 90 minutes of repeatedly stopping plays to chew out those who appeared to be dragging. Eventually, he had seen enough and called the team together for a few choice words. "I saw a lot of mistakes, lackadaisical effort, things I haven't seen since I've been here," he said. "I won't allow that to happen."

Pete,

All of this was covered on the OM site. After the team returned, they practiced much better. In other words, they got the messsage.

NY Reb, I agree with you 100% on your Georgia pick. Georgia delivers a beating just like LSU and Florida will do the following 2 weeks. Miss St simply does not have the talent, speed, depth, or coaching to compete with these teams. All 3 hit 40+ on Miss St.

As for you Ole Miss pick, I really don't know what the hell you see. This team appears to be the worst-coached group there is. Ole Miss is no more talented than Vandy or Wyoming. Vandy aleady proved that last week. If not for busted plays and a punt return, then Vandy wins walking away. This is essentially the same Wyoming team that Ole Miss could not stop last year and also beat Ole Miss. The Ole Miss defense looks far worse than last year's group. The offense and the speacial teams are terrible. Wyoming not only covers, but wins. I am not telling you what to do, but separating school pride from betting is a must, especially when your team sucks. It will save you lots of money.

Reb,

I am with you on Ol Miss, again TW. ALthough it appears that we may be the only ones.
I think they need this win much more than Wyoming does. They have the "Revenge" factor, and they are also playing their 1st HG. It is certainly not going to be a route, but Ol Miss should win by 7-10 pts.
