Last week: 17-9 (+45*)
YTD: 89-74 (+73.6*)
10* plays: 10-9
Teasers: 16-9

Last week was the most profitable yet in college football. The 7*s going 7-3 and the teasers going 4-0 sealed the profit for us. This week I hope to do even better. In this business, you have to think big to succeed, yet you must retain your humility. Not cocky, but confident. So, confidently, we begin this week with:

15* Game of the Month
USC -29
I see some fellows on this site are already on the other side. Well, here's the way I see it. The Trojans have just been knocked down to #2. They have failed to cover the spread in 4 straight games. They will use this game to make a huge statement regarding how they feel about being #2. Sorry, Cougars, but this will be a blowout and there's nothing you can do about it.

I am posting my thread early this week simply because you will not see that 29-point margin for very long. Get it while you can. It will soon be thirty-something.

I might not know anything about the Pac 10, but I know a solid play when I see one.

Other games throughout the week, as usual.

Uh oh....Kojak is on WSU as a 10 unit play, someone's not going to be happy!

Your logic is solid, Reb, but that's a lot of chalk. I might have to sit this one out, has "backdoor" written all over it. That being said, USC has shown that they can name the score vs. mediocre teams. Will look at this one as the week goes on and watch the line. GL

P.S. Thanks for posting early, looking forward to all of your plays.

5* Teaser: USC -22, over 63
You know I wouldn't be able to resist this one. I think USC scores close to 50 themselves. If I am right, then we will cover this teaser.

If USC scores 50 or less they don't cover.Wash St. averaging 40 ppg.USC giving up 21 ppg to weaker opp.Just have to wonder if they can get up for this game after those last four brutal losses they suffered.Tough game to call.GL.

7* Boston College +14

BC is 5th in the nation in rushing defense, and they'll need it against the Hokies. Eagles have the personnel to play the Hokies tough. Hokies have to have it in the back of their minds that they'll be playing Miami the following week. Will they have the intensity to cover a 2 TD spread against a team that's already won 6 games? Look for a BC cover here.

Where do you see Kojak has WSU as a 10*? I like his plays and can never find them, (although I don't look super hard because ofthe lazy factor, but would be nice if I knew where they were for comparison reasons.)

It's right in his Saturday plays for CFB 10/29 thread. WSU +30 10 units.

Reb,

Great week LW. I told you i liked that card. I'm with you on BC, as much as I hate to bet against VT @ Blacksburg (on Thursday). I feel BC is definitely the play.
I too think USC maked a BIG statement TW. I couldn't believe they were bumped.

What is your take on the Cocktail party? How big of a lose is Shockley?

7* Teaser: Boston College +20.5, under 52.5

Man, I love this teaser. I think we have two strong 7* plays tonight.

Remainder of card will be posted soon. It often happens that the later I post my card, the better I do, and I am sure that winners are the priority here. Yet I will make it convenient for you as well, thoughtful guy that I am :think1:

7* Southern Miss +7
I was waiting for a couple of lines to come through, and they just did. Southern Miss lives for these sort of games -- a chance to make an impression on national TV against a 'BCS' team. They are talented and well-coached enough to make this game very, very close. They almost always keep it tight in these sorts of games. The Wolfpack is starting a new QB, and he will probably experience some unusual blitzes from the Golden Eagle defense. This isn't the kind of game the Wolfpack lives and dies for, and if they win by a field goal, that will be fine with them. I would not be in the least bit surprised, however, if USM wins this one straight-up.

7* Ole Miss +21
Believe it or not, the Rebel defense is playing at a very high level. They allow 16 points a game, and I honestly don't think Auburn will score enough to cover this spread. Also, you never know, the Rebels could score some points themselves -- they average 15 a game and they're bound to get some of that. The Tigers are physically and emotionally bruised after last week's loss to LSU, and I don't think they have enough left in their tank to really get after the Rebels. They will be happy just to win this one. If you want an Auburn blowout, catch it the following weekend against Kentucky. The Rebels looked lousy in their win against the Citadel and then played a hell of a game the next week against Alabama. In the same way, they looked lousy last week in their win over Kentucky, and they will be back at their best Saturday against Auburn.

You can find them at +12.5 at Betmil.com.

I love them at 14 and knew this line was going down, which was why I posted it early. Yes, I'd still take them. I'd probably take them at +10.
