Clemson will always be the wannabees in college football. The BAD COACHING continues, and the ignorance of their players.

Well Bowden is sure to go after this one. He cannot spin out this F up

I agree JMAN

The only thing I can honestly say is I have followed Clemson regularly for about 15 years and it never fails that this organization shows signs of consistency and then reverts right back to Division 3 level football.

And we know how much CLEMSON fans tell you how much they love their Clemson tigers and how this is the year.....

The only answer to this 15 year trend......is that they REALLY do not have smart personnel both in players, coaches, and athletic leadership at this CLEMSON institution. I can honestly say that my 15 year clinical study has concluded that

clemson football is for the ignorant

I wondered why he went for it on 4th and 2 at his 40? In a tight game, why leave good field position, and this was in the third qtr of a tie game...Too many Micky Mouse calls from Clemson.....finally caught up to them...But, Newport you know you are stuck with him now...

I will say it again.

Clemson and Missouri are the most overrated teams this year.

I said it before the year and they both already have a loss and Clemson could be 0-2.

I am not so sure Clemson recovers after losing a game in such a silly manner. The confidence level has to be low heading into their first road game. Texas A*M may be worth a look.

Bowden does not have what it takes to be a big-time winner. He cannot motivate or connect with the players, and the play-calling continues to be a problem. When Rodriguez was the OC, at least the offense played with motivation and some level of consistency. As for the optimism of the fans, you can't blame them -- that's just human nature. And they're in a uniquely frustrating situation as a result of the administration's dismissal of Danny Ford 15 years ago when Clemson was one of the nation's top programs. The last 15 years have been horrible for Clemson fans because they know what *could* have been ... and because they have never been told the full story regarding why Ford was dismissed. Think what it would have been like for OSU, PSU, or FSU fans if Woody Hayes, Joe Paterno, or Bobby Bowden had been dismissed at the apex of their popularity.

Clemson will continue to be inconsistent, at least until Bowden brings in someone like Rodiguez to crack the whip ... or until Bowden is replaced. Until then, stop betting on Clemson games, as I have done. There are 50+ other games on the board every week.

Thanks, and good luck.
