i agree. but im not sure bama will win this game straight up - although they have MORE than "a chance". Bama is very, very, very good and gets no respect because their style of game isnt to score 50 points and people that watch college football think if you dont score at will ...then you suck. ball control and running will definitely work and get them some points vs. florida, and florida will certainly not be scoring their 40+ points, but they will score and at some point bama will need to get away from smashmouth and throw it around for some big plays, and I dont think JPW has it in him to do it big when it counts.

florida's defense is very underrated bc of their defense last year

nonetheless, 10.5 points is ridiculous, and i only see this covered by florida after a very very late score to put the game away

i would set the line florida -4 if i was setting it for sharp bettors only and not the national hoopla

The turf adds mucho speed to this Florida team. Alabama will need at least 21 in order to cover.

I took a little UF -9 earlier today. I just think their offense is too much for Bama and the idea that UF isn't tough couldn't be further from the truth. The Gators have a huge advantage at QB and WR and while Bama's D is without question the best UF has seen this year, Arenas and Jackson aren't as good as UF's receiving corps. When UF goes 4 wide I just dont think Bama can keep up. Blitzing Tebow in that situation has fried every team that has tried it this year and the inside of UF's OL is really big and strong to counter Cody.

This will be the closest game UF has played this year (sans Ole Miss) but I can't see Bama scoring more than 20 points in this game.

34-20 Gators.

About how I see it...Florida is way too fast for this team, when they go 4 wide it's going to unravel for the Alabama defense. Weather won't be a factor and the track is going to be fast.

I'm waiting for the team totals to come out, Florida should be around 31....I see them scoring no less than 35-38. I just need some Bama backers to keep the Florida team total low for me. Bama can score what they want but I see the Florida team total busting early.

Explain This Logic

Is Alabama playing in mud? The last time I checked both teams are on the same turf at the same time. Florida hasn't been hit in the mouth like they will Saturday... well, Ole Miss hits pretty good.

lol think about what you guys are writing think!...first off youre not gonna run east and west vs. this alabama squad.so youre gonna be forced to run inside. oh and please do. and if the turf makes florida faster. it also makes bamas defense faster! the harder you run, the harder you get hit! and lets clear up this thing that florida has speed and alabama slow. BOTH teams are fast. florida is finesse speed, bama is power speed, which the latter being more deceiving....hope this helps a few guys out in their analysis

The reason I call this line a gift

is that anytime two big time program teams get together a two score line is a bit much. I am die hard Tide fan, however I understand we could lose to this Florida team. They stretch the field very well and our db's just started turning around. Hell, maybe we will peak against them. I give credit where it is do. I do agree with Box though, Florida only covers in this game if it is very late. I hope to God Bama wins a slugfest here though. Expect a much lower score. They will not run it up against our D.

Two weeks ago I thought if Florida plays Alabama in this game, Florida would definately win, & I still think that, but I dont think they will cover the 10 pts. Imo, Alabama will need to have 5 to 6 min drives to be able to cover this game. Keep Floridas offense off the field & Alabama should keep it close, I like the pts here!

The under could possibly be a better play here.

OK, FLAME ME IF YOU LIKE, but how the hell can you NOT TAKE FLA on 10.5. There should not even be a discussion on this.

They are #1 in POINTS scored and total offense now.

They have hung more than 30 points on every team since the loss to OLE MISS... including LSU who Alabama had a hard time playing.

Honestly, I don't see Florida winning by less than 2 TDS
Yeah, Alabama is 1st in Defense, but look at the teams played

EXAMPLE....Kentucky @ HOME 17-14.... Seriously...
OK.... Ole Miss 24-20 @ HOME.... Yes, fluke loss to Florida.

@ Tennessee 29-9... Seriously, they got beat by Wyoming at Tennessee.

AND THE BIG ONE. ALABAMA @ LSU 27 - 21 WHO FLORIDA WHIPPED BY 30 POINTS.

OK. Alabama beat Miss. St and Auburn badly.... but seriously...
what do you think Florida would of done.

I ask you this..... how do you think Alabama would of done
against SC.

Prove me wrong... but Florida @ 10.5 is beautiful

Way too many points.. I think that Florida ultimately prevails, but I can really see this coming down to the last possession and even OT.. especially if Harvin does not play. I expect both defenses to be the key in this game

Honestly, Alabama is a damn good team, but I think Florida
is the best team. P. Harvin is playing in this one. The D for
Alabama is sharp, but Florida will take it down. I don't see it any less than 34-20.

I would pick Fla. as long as it doesn't exceed 14
