There is a big buzz locally that Chip Kelly is going to resign. Local media here is a mess, so it could be BS, but it's been leaking out here all day.

The a Eagles did just fire Tom Gamble, who was supposedly Chip's boy, and there have plenty of rumors that Roseman and Kelly have been at odds and this was a sign ownership is backing Roseman. I believe there is something in his contract preventing him from immediately coaching in the NFL, but not college.

Take it with a grain of salt based on the media source, but there is a bit more buzz than your normal BS on the topic.

Looks like they moved Roseman into a position with no clear role or responsibility. Seems odd after Roseman won out on the firing of Gamble over Kelly. I'll take it, I certainly didn't want to be on the hunt for a HC again.

Not good for them. That's what ruined Andy Reid, Holmgren, Parcells. The only guy who can do it is Bellichick. Let Coaches Coach, let executives Executive.

Mariota has a great arm...Chip wouldn't trade for him if he didn't think he could get it done..I wouldn't want my team to even entertain the thought of bringing Winston in

Hard to believe Chip or another NFL team hasn't hired you with your vast knowledge of what makes a NFL QB or is it you are planning to make more as a identity thief.

I'd say Parcells was underrated as a personel guy. NE slowly went to shit after he left and they had a plethora of draft picks as part of the compensation for him.

I thought the whole reason he left N.E was because he was mad they wouldn't let him shop for the groceries.

Holmgren clearly had a lot of success with Seattle as well. Parcells turned the Jets around immediately and if not for Testaverde tearing his ACL they would've been a contender in '99.


Yeah he left because he wanted total control over personel and Kraft wanted Bobby Grier to be the GM. I just meant NE should've given it to him rather than let him walk and hire Carroll but Kraft didn't want Parcells outsized personality being the face of the franchise. It was about ego as much as anything else.
