No one in their right mind would hire him in the NFL imo. College is a different game and Kevin Sumlin has not done much to warrant any change in the direction the program is headed in..

titans are a strong rumor.

and i think dolphins might just be crazy enough to try it....how else is someone going to de-throne the pats.....lomardi isn't coming outta the grave anytime soon.

i think the eagles are going more conservative route based on how weak the NFC east is...Keep in simple in that division for a few years at the very least

Thing is, no owner will give him personnel say now. That might deter him and force him back to college.

I think we all will learn a lot about chip kelly after he chooses what to do

He should drop down to an offensive coordinator if he wants to stay in the NFL. Doubt any coach would want to run that system though. can you imagine what the defensive coordinators must think?

idk... it is hard to do the damage he did at philly in such a short time. He will never change who he is imo which is a power hungry short fat guy.. LoL short man sydrome at its best ! HOWEVER college is a different game and his system and style have proven well. Also he can be the Big Man on Campus in college, which fans his ego..

all that money being spent at A&M i don't think they would think twice about buying Sumlin out and throwing a ton at Chipper.. if he is not intimidated by the SEC gauntlet..

Can't help but think a lot of boosters have and eye at UT and Strong and realize they will be king of the state again soon?

If he doesn't land back in the NFL he'll be out of football next year. There's no openings in CFB right now (that he'd be interested in). My money is on Texas next year after Charlie shits the bed again.

How many years is it going to take the Eagles to get back to playoffs on what Chip fucked up? I don't see any NFL hiring him after what they saw him do

No NFL team is going to give him personnel decisions after that debacle in Philly. Typically you have to win one or more Superbowls for that, not sure what the Eagles were thinking there. I say sit out a year and take your pick of college jobs, both Texas and LSU could become available. Obviously Texas would be the easier route.

Yeah well I think the "Steel Curtain" made Knolls job a little easier. Not sure a "Wet Blanket" D can thrive in the NFL. Look a the history of Peyton Manning in the playoffs and the hurry up offense. So maybe if you can make the hurry up offense run based it might be different? I don't know how you can protect your QB from the sharks on NFL defenses. Seems like Kelly made his living with superior athletes at Oregon, that will never be an option in the NFL when most of these teams are equals.

Also, What about Belichek...he wasn't that successful at first...what i am saying is ..you need more than 3yrs in NFL as head coach to win consistently, just my opinion. just sayin.

I think the Pats will be "de-throned" when Tom Brady retires. Belichick get a lot of the credit, but Brady desires just a lot too imo.

hey buddy ! hope all is well.. i agree it takes time but he was given all the control he asked for and just blew up the organization.. Kelly is good at running an O and will get a shot in college again and should be successful just dont think any owner would take the financial risk of blowing up their team for them then maybe jerry jones.

He would be a great O Coord in college next year, or sign on as a consultant. He is good friends with urban meyer and God knows OSU needs help after Herman left. LSU can really use an offensive coordinator. I just know if those programs would want a one and done knowing he would get another HC job?

He will land on his feet with a fat bank account after Philly axed him.
