No doubt in my mind that this will happen tomorrow in Philly. Bill Davis, the defensive coordinator, HAS to go but if you think it about it he was brought here by Chip who brought in this horrible offense and reduced the amount of talent on this team. It's really a good situation to fire him considering the 10 days until the next game. There is just no effort from the players- yes, they are probably are tired- but there is still 5 games to play and too much money is being paid for those players to play the way they are. I would be STUNNED if Chip Kelly is the Eagles head coach past tomorrow.

Would have been nice if he had an actual qb to run his system. All the qbs he used were crap. U guess we'll never know if his system would have worked in the NFL

What makes you think he won't go to tenn with his perfect qb Mariotta or to Indy with luck. He rolled the dice with Bradford and it didn't work out. I think if he had at least a decent qb things would be different... He won 10 games in both his first two seasons. We'll see but I think he gives it one more shot in the nfl

You can't win in this league without a QB. Period.

He hasn't had one in Philadelphia.

I'm not dismissing the job he's done, its clearly below par. But the QB situation in Philadelphia hasn't helped at all.

In a recent discussion I had with a co-worker, something was said that directly related to Chip's stay in the pros. It goes something like this: When someone reaches or is given a level of responsibility that exceeds their capabilities, they will be exposed. This has clearly been the case with Chip, and I really started to wonder if this guy knew what he was doing back in the offseason. Wanting Mariotta, failing at that and then getting Bradford. His initial plan for RBs was Gore and Matthews, Gore backs out and Chip is like "oh shit" and goes out and gets Murray. Couldn't/Wouldn't resign Maclin, drafts a rookie hoping to strike gold but fails and then signs Miles Austin who is SO past his prime. A lot of signings just reeked of failure to have a Plan B and he just plucked players thinking that his system would compensate for his lack of preparation/experience as a GM in the NFL. Just clearly overmatched for his responsibilities.

It's similar to what Josh McDaniels did with the Broncos. Way over his head with power over the team, revamp the offense, get a new QB, defense coach etc and basically ruin a good/decent team in a span of 2 years. The D it's self went from top 3 to last in that span.

Get Chip out of there and start over.

How is the first 2 seasons of 10-6 below par? He took over a team that went 4-12 the season before he got there.

He's the GM. It's his own fault.

Chip Kelly the GM is going to ruin Chip Kelly the coach.

This thread is clueless. Jeffrey Lurie gave Andy Reid 14 seasons in Philly. The final two were 8-8 and 4-12. He isn't an owner that makes snap decisions based on one .500 or worse season

he primarily did it with players already on the team and not Chip's choosing. Once Chip started making all the calls this year, he failed miserably.

So after one year as GM your condemning him... If it were year 3 as GM I could understand... I'll bump this thread in 2 more years and we'll see
what their record is....

i am not saying Chip should be fired. after 10-6, 10-6...a down year isnt the worst thing and not grounds for firinig. but his moves have been terrible so far and they are saddled with a huge RB contract that wont help going forward. warning lights should be going off right now
