Anyone following the pre-season cloesly or have some knowledge on this upcoming game?
Saw WSE has Seattle -2.0 today. Grab the -2 or is something up with this game? I know playing pre-season can be tricky but when I saw -2 = thought that might be a gift.

Seattle is the shit... take the 2!!!! (I'm a homer... but I probably will anyway).

I have the bears as one of the top 5 worse teams this year.

Just to clarify.
In your opinion, your saying to take the +2 and Chicago
or give the -2 and take Seattle.

I'm liking Seattle myself, was just hoping to get other thoughts/take on this game.

*lay 2 my bad lol....

Seneca Wallace hasn't come out and shown himself like that in a LONG time and to be able to do it against the Vikings that's telling me someting. Although, it was PreS and I don't know the defensive depth of Minny.

I consider Hasselbeck a top 5 QB in the NFL and our Receiving core at least top 4. Morris is a beast and so underrated it's ridiculous. At this point I don't know HOW Julius Jones gets to go ahead of him.

Hass may not take a snap in this game.

Wallace is capable. Morris/Jones/Duckett/Weaver all want to pound the rock and win a job. Oh yeah, that guy named Forsett runs hard too.

Lay the 2 and say a prayer.

all respectable guys in here too lol. dammit. I've tailed sdf on plays but i've also seen Legend hit some nice games too... ESQAJM is an overall good guy so iono. Playing my boys regardless... bears might be able to bounce back, but that's all it will be... a bounce. Seahawks should DUNK on them.

I kinda like the Bears here.. I really don't expect Seattles offense to do much. Thin at WR (Engram injured) , weak running game.. Holmgren not gonna lay anything out there to win this game either.

Competition with Bears QB's wanting to perform well can't hurt either. I also like some of their young WR's.

GL tho :drink::drink:

kinda agree with RTR here reasoning-wise.

Seattle bitch slapped Minny and looked good. Seneca and Matty showed their stuff. The running game looks good.

Holmgren is 1-9 SU in Game 2...he seems to want to evaluate his backups during this game and cares not about the win.
Much like Dungy, Game 2 is a throwaway and Game 3 is where he wants to see his team bust ass (sea 9-1 SU in game 3 under holmgren)

conversely, Lovie is 4-0 SU with Chi-town in game 2 and the Chi offense is DESPERATE to find something to work going into the season. I expect a heavy dose of Rex and Kyle (not necessarily a good thing I suppose) and some work on the running game.

after losing to KC at home (how embarrassing), I think Lovie goes all out for the W.

SDF: Hit the nail right on the head. Now you are using some of my handicapping systems that I've used for years.

I didn't know that state about PreS game 2 for Seattle. However, even if Seneca gets to play most of the game I don't think it will turn out too bad. How good do u gauge the Bears' defense? Lovie might be putting the pressure on so yeah... they might wake up on both sides of the ball. I still like my "depth" on Seattle. I played KC vs Bears... and I'll do it again if they meet up in regular season--I really have no hopes for Chicago this year.

seattle is better than chicago. i think we can all agree. but in this scenario, where winning is irrelevant, what will Holmgren really do here?

I think of it this way....

Suppose I played Roger Federer in tennis. I'm pretty good at the sport but he'd wax me 0&0 if we played a match. That's regular season Seattle vs Chicago.

Now..supposed Roger played left handed against me just to try it out for fun and see how it goes? I could probably beat him that way. That's Seattle vs Chicago in preseason.

now, Holmgren may change it up and really really try hard to win, but his past performances have shown him to not care much about Game 2 of preseason and instead plan more towards winning game 3.

I got the gist. But has holmgren been in the midst of a trade for a starting QB challenge? Supposedly Jones is fighting vs Morris. I still consider the Bears the LEFTY in this scenario.

Preseason trends I found supporting a bears cover

Seattle: 3-10 ATS off road win

Chicago 9-1 ats week 2

Poster B C found this at ts

Teams that lost their first game SU and ATS as a home favorite and their 2nd game is an away dog won ATS 21-7(75%) (2003:2-1)
(2004:0-1) (2005:2-0-1) (2006:3-1) ( 2007:3-0)

However Lovie Smith is 0-5 ats last 5 vs the nfc
