LOL- I bet Charles loses ALOT of money gambling....just from hearing his opinions you can read between the lines....not like he can't afford to lose some cash.

When asked about being governor, Barkley quipped that the pay is "like 4 hands of blackjack".:lolBIG:

Love watching Barkley(even if he claimed he was mis-qouted in his AUTOBIOGRAPHY). There is a reason TNT gets higher ratings for their half-time and post-game than many of the play-off games themselves.

I used to work audio for the Roy Garabaldi sports talk show here in AZ, called " The Positive Side of Sports". Jason Kidd when he was here, and Barkley are pretty good friends, and heavy gamblers. There is a golf tournament in Lake Tahoe every year, and I can tell you that they are both heavy gamblers, casino and otherwise. Get Jordan, Barkley, and Kidd together, OMG. Barkley lost six figures over the weekend of that golf tournament 2 years ago and didn't even blink.

Charles is still funny as hell. Doesnt know much but still funny. I liked it when he told Kenny Smith , "no self respected man walks around with only twenty dollas in his pocket."

He is so funny how he says "Suns got no chance, but since I live in Phoenix I guess I got to root for them". As a Suns ring of famer and resident of the Valley of the Sun you know it takes a very unbiased guy to say that.

If he ever gets tired of doing the TV gig the new owner Sarver will almost certainly offer him a job in the organization much as the Colangelos always gave jobs to former stars. With a cushy job living where he wants to be, why the hell would he move back to Alabama and take on a real job with real opposition to you like governor?

Love the TNT haltime and pre/post game shows with Kenny and Charles. Very entertaining.

I remember watching the NBA Draft a few years back and when Brendon Haywood got drafted, Barkley jokingly says Haywood is the best player to be drafted outta UNC since MJ. Kenny Smith, who came out of UNC as well, quickly responds, "You better shutup before I blind you with my championship rings!" Hilarious!

When Ernie Johnson asked Barkley what he thought of the 1st half(Mem-Pho GM 2), Barkley responded by saying, "I don't know I was watching Kojak".

On one of the post game shows they had a blackjack segment whereby the loser would get some stupid screen costume or sumthin. Anyway as soon as Charles was told ithe game was blackjack he all of a sudden become a seasoned veteran in the art of Black Jack strategy. Vehimetly stating "Oh u gotta sit on a 14 when the dealer is showin anythang less than a 17...."

The degenerate came out to America before our very eyes.

I think he doulbed down on an 8 w/ a 4 showing by the dealer. That move immediately lost Ernie Johnson.
