what a dumb fuck!

maybe not... did you guys see his before and after steroid pictures. this monster went from like 190 to 275 all muscle most of it on the neck.

Figure if you inject steroids straight into both his torn anterior and posterior knee ligaments you can make them tighter than 18 year old pussy; a little tear won't matter.

Respect the guy. Hope he doesn't hurt himself more than he already is. But I personally think this is an awful call.

What I don't get is why the Chargers org is allowing him to play? Or have they not said anything about yet? Is it really his decision to play/not play at this point? They need to step up and put him on IR. He'll end up getting hurt bad enough to be forced into surgery. Do these idiots not realize that they can hurt their team more than help? Same with that momo Ocho Cinco.:think2:

I wish the league could step in and tell him he can't play.

If the chargers had him signed long term to big money he wouldnt sniff the field this year, they are using him and his young stupid decision.

Extremley risky but the doctors wouldn't let him touch the field if he couldn't play through it.

If he goes out there in Week 1 and plays soft I make him get surgery though.

Knee injuries you can play through. Our high school RB played with a torn ACL and shit I'm sure if the doctors said Shawne CAN play he will be fine.

Fiction can be fun...instead of listening to blowhards like Mecellus Wiley and Skip Bayless on ESPN...maybe you guys should actually READ about the situation. This is an injury he has been playing on since last december, all throughout the playoffs and the pro bowl. NOTHING has changed since that point...after the season Merriman was given advice by chargers management and doctors to have surgery on his knee, he and his agent opted for arthriscopic and some rehab. Obviously it did not get better...but he has already played several games on it, he knows what to expect and there is absolutely no risk to his career...he has been cleared to play

No way he makes it through even half the season. If Charger management/ownership doesn't step in here or, at the very least, allows him to take the field, they should be held liable. Obviously the guy is going to try and play through this in the desperate hope of repairing his shattered image following his 'roids exposure.

held liable for telling him after the end of last season to have the surgery? He's played a bunch of games on it already...there is no risk to his career

No risk? So you're a doctor now? Or you're somehow credentialed in the field of medicine to disagree with the other FOUR recommendations by such qualified individuals?

Again, this is nothing more than a ploy to somehow rebuild his shattered image.

Actually there is a huge risk to his career. Without those ligaments every time he makes a change of direction he is risking doing joint damage which cant be fixed.

no...I'm just going by what the actual guy said that TALKED to those 4. That playing on it is NOT CAREER THREATENING and that they said he needed surgery on it but didnt say it had to be immediately. Fuck...read some shit or listen to his press conference before acting like you know shit

i think the doctors knew that when they cleared him to play last postseason on it...and deemed that it is not career threatening
