Argonauts +15 (-110) @ Lions -- 1 unit: This would be the first time I've bet against the Lions all year. To be honest, I don't doubt that they win this game, but I can not see it being a blow out. BC is getting into rest mode, where they are starting to rest their guys for the playoffs. Clermont will likely sit, and if by chance Pierce starts, he will be out as soon as they get a decent lead, or if they have the lead in the 4th. The Lions pretty much know that all they need is a victory and they finish 2nd. There are no real aspirations of 1st place anymore. Toronto comes in a beat down team, but you better believe a guy like Joseph knows he is playing for his job, a year after being MOP. I actually think there is more motivation for the Argos players, after seeing a few guys get cut, knowing most of them are playing for jobs next year. I really think the Argos keep this close, or at worst, pull off a backdoor cover late when Jarious is in cleaning up. If Jarious starts, there may even be value on the Toronto ML.

GL with the Argos I agree its a ton of points this weekend BUT I have no clue what you are talking about by BC getting in rest mode fighting for home field in advantage in the playoffs?!?! Seriously and you are a BC fan and you say rest mode when you must clearly know the implications at stake in these two remaining games!?!? Funnest thing I have heard all week...

You say there are no real aspirations for 1st place? Are you joking? Who wouldnt want a 1st round bye only having to win one game to go the Grey Cup as opposed to having to win two? BC/CAL next week to decide to Western division Champs?!!?
Like I said I do agree with the play and may also take the Argos myself as it is a ton of point to cover but I just find your write up WAY off!

Unless Hamilton can upset Calgary, BC can finish no higher than second place. Currently, Calgary is ahead by 2 points and has won the season series against BC. Therefore the next game between Calgary and BC might be meaningless.

By the time this game takes place Calgary will have clinched 1st... so I'm not quite sure what you are talking about?

Hey buck - I did some quick research this morning Only once this decade (2000's) has Toronto covered both regular season games vs BC and that was in 2001.

You know how the books like to keep their books balanced. Setting a line of 15 is a beauty b/c most people will stay away or play the dog. My power ratings suggest a 17 and 19 home win for the lions.

If the Lions get up on the argos dont be surprised if Tony Champion (3rd string qb) plays in the 2nd half which means the more points for the lions.

Remember the game in toronto was not even close were it not for the two long runs for TDs.

BOL with your play hate to see a homer fade his team. Nice call on the BJ's last night that 19 second 3rd period goal killed my under arrgghhh

Why would they bench all these players for this weeks game and where can you confirm that??
I was mis understood about the fact that if Calgary beats Hamilton this week regardless of the outcome on BC/CAL next week CAL would win the division based on the tie break. BUT if Saskacthewan wins their next two games and BC faulters they could find themselves in 3 WITHOUT home field advantage and you failed to mention that. They are still fighting for 2nd and 3rd place so why the hell would they bench their star players?!!?

Logan and Clermont were both out last week, and Pierce was playing hurt...

Wally has spent most of the 2nd half of the season trying to keep Pierce healthy, and not take any risks. He has already pulled Pierce once against Toronto for precautionary reasons... I don't see why he wouldn't do it again.

Eskimos TT o25.5 (-120) @ Roughriders -- 3 units: Funny things happen when you are watching Russian hockey at 3am due to insomnia. One, you realize that Russian hockey is better than half the NHL games. Two, you start doing research. In the last 11 weeks, the Eskimos have gone under the total of 25.5 twice, and one was a total of 23. That's pretty impressive, but not uncommon for Ricky Ray's pass-happy offence. The same pass-happy offence that handed the ball of only 5 times last week. The same pass-happy offence, that despite having a horrific running game, torched the Riders for 225 yards on the ground during their last meeting. Furthermore, this Riders defence has been surrendering a ton of points lately. I have hyped them all year as being the best defence in the league. However, as of late, they have played terrible. They have yielded 29,42,34,37,27,28,31 in their past 7 games, an average of 32.5 points per game! Not to mention they have given up more than 25.5 in all seven of those games. Some may question taking any type of over in late October in Regina, but the forecast is clear skies and 7-10 degrees. I really like this bet. I knew all week I was going to do something with this game... and while Edmonton +3 or even Edmonton ML looks solid, I just don't know if Edmonton secretly wants to go out East and battle the Bombers. I do know that there is little pressure on either of these teams, because they are essentially battling for 3rd. With the financial importance of a home playoff game, and the fact that Lions end vs. Toronto and @ Calgary (who have clinched), I doubt they relinquish 2nd.

See how stupid do you look now?!?!?

Now they need to beat CGY this week to host the West semi-final (provided SSK beats TOR) and you fucking say the TOR/BC game was meaningless and resting players and shit?!!? They have settled for 3rd?!?! You have to be one of the dumbest fans of a team I have ever heard. Never met anyone who doesnt know their favorite teams playoff implications. They beat CGY and they host the West semi AND if they lost to Toronto they would have got 3rd...your something else with that clueless writeup...a BC Lions fan my ass!!!!

Me thinks someone spent half his piggy bank on the Argos and the other half on meth.

I still have no idea what you are talking about. You had no clue they were resting players. I told you there were resting Clermont. I told you they were resting Logan. I told you Buck wouldn't play the whole game, and while he went down with an injury, he could have played if need be. Heck, if Pickett doesn't toss that INT late, they probably cover that spread. Difference was the two defensive TDs.

So remember a couple of things... money management, and stay out of my threads if you have nothing constructive to add.

I may be new to CFL but one thing I never will be is clueless to my favorite sports teams playoff implications.
