Good luck this week, CT!

How about the Baylor / Texas Tech matchup, huh? I think that's the highest anticipated total I've ever seen.

Also, thoughts on the Indiana/Ohio State over? Saw 63 yesterday up to 64.5 last night.. Gotta think OSU will be able to get what they want and Indiana is capable of scoring themselves. Would like to hear your input. Thanks and GL.

more people are catching on to the awesomeness of totals!

i find totals for the next 4-5 weeks are going to be VERY tough to beat. getting the best line is even more critical. things tighten up and get really close to the posted totals. also conference play starts and the numbers gathered from non-conference can give unexpected data. Teams tend to approach non-conference differently than conference (hence why LSU gave up 28 to Syracuse and their 5th string QB but can essentially shutout conference teams)

good luck to everyone. i'll have my questions later in the week :)

Baylor Total I made 87 1/2 - I see 89 it is a no play for me but could be interesting to watch -

Ohio St. Total I played ov 61 I see 64 now - what I always say I do not recommend at BAD number - last week some of my games fell and I either tied or won I know others either lost or tied - makes a big difference and usually difficult to overcome -

Hi - I find winning is Always VERY tough that is why preparation, discipline etc etc is so important - one must Always try to get the best numbers - the same problems we have as handicappers the line makers have in putting up lines and Totals - the key is to always stay one step ahead - one should Always respect the line the guys making it are sharp we just have to be a little sharper - does everyone see how smart and sharp sdf is that is why I know he is a winner - he understands how to win he does his homework - we have never met or talked if we were sitting at a table next to each other We would never know it - unless we both started checking scores :))

A bunch of Totals were hit a short while ago - one went against me the rest went my way - some could be weather related as there is a storm headed toward the east coast - I checked weather and they said right now they r not sure if storm will make land and if it does more likely on Sunday - but there may be some effects of light rain and wind even if it doesn't make land - so have to distinguish which moved down because of fears of weather and which were a handicap -

For example Friday's temple/char game there will be showers but also some Gusty winds - I did not play this game so doesn't concern me but this is a FYI - Total went from 48 to 45 1/2 - a weather play - I am Only concerned about the games I played -

CoffeeTea, weather should be a consideration for totals but injured starting quarterbacks should be another...especially going into this weekend.

I count 21 starters either out, questionable, doubtful or probable for this weekend's games. For example the Arizona/Stanford game. Both QB's are banged up. Anu Solomn (concussion) and Kevin Hogan (angle).

I agree and I do not believe any of my Totals that I played have an injured QB - and I usually check for injuries b/4 I play a Total - it is tough enough to handicap a team at full capacity and trying to handicap with injuries is even more difficult as sometimes - the back-up can play well for a game - look what happened last week in Cinn game Kiel injured and Moore had a career game - I have a question for you about a week ago or so u posted this in my thread -

GO THE FUCK AWAY ... come up with a different m/o - this try is pitiful ......

i have to say this is a hobby/profession that takes a lot of effort to get right. It definitely helps to have friends to confer with, get help from, bounce ideas off....you've been exceptionally helpful to a lot of people for many years now and I'm very grateful (though down the road I'd love to know some of your capping secrets (

Hi Guys - the one Total that I mentioned above that went against me is App St. I went ov 56 it is now 53 1/2 this came down because it is a weather concern - the school is located in Boone N.C. and if storm makes landfall N.C. is a prime target - as it is the forecast for game is rain and around 10 mph wind - one not only has to be a handicapper but also a meteorologist -

I feel obligated to give an update of the weather conditions as I know them now for the other games that were posted - the decision as to what to do is up to you -

geo tech - some rain and 10 mph wind
bowl Gr. - strong winds
mich st. - strong wind
vir tech. - some rain 10 mph wind

of course any kind of weather usually favors unders especially freezing cold and gusty winds
