Central Mich (-6) vs. Ohio

The Ohio University Bobcats will attempt to record their first road win of the season when they travel to Mount Pleasant this Saturday for a Mid-American Conference tilt with the Central Michigan Chippewas. As for the Chippewas, they are kicking off a three-game homestand starting with this contest.

OHIO:On the season, Ohio is averaging a woeful 15.8 ppg and 278.6 ypg
in total offense. Defending the pass has become an issue for Solich's defense, which is giving up over 300 ypg through the air. Stopping the run hasn't been much better for the Bobcats, surrendering 164.8 ypg and 10 touchdowns already.
Central Mich: Ontario Sneed had a solid performance running the ball as well, rushing for 82 yards and a score. Sneed currently ranks 16th in the nation and third in the MAC with 652 yards and five touchdowns to his credit. They are allowing 295 ypg through the air and have given up 14 passing touchdowns already.

Analysis: Neither of these squads is going to dominate anyone with their offense, but the Chippewas are dangerous with the ground duo of Sneed and Smith. Ohio continues to get little production under center and will likely drop its fourth road game because of it.

Some info to look at:
Ohio QB Everson only 51% completion, just 1 TD pass and 7 INTs!
CMU's starting RB averaging 5.7 ypc! He'll be tough to stop, and allow the home team to control the game. Ohio 1-9 ATS last 10 on the road (0-3 this season) and have not covered in last 5 tries the second of back-to-back road games!

Pick: Central Michigan here by at least a touchdown w/ homefield adv. by at least 7

Here is my write-up:

CENTRAL MICHIGAN (-6) Ohio

- If you are a good handicapper, by mid-season you usually find 1-2 teams that you ride for or against each week for the rest of the year. You get a feel for them, and quoting a line from the sports betting movie Two for the Money, “I know these teams better than they know themselves.” This year the Chippewas are one of those teams for me as I played them and won big on the ML two weeks ago in a huge 31-17 upset (10.5 point underdogs) at Akron followed by covering a small spread at Army last week in a hard fought 14-10 win in the pouring rain in West Point. At 3-3, Central Michigan Senior QB Kent Smith looks to lead the Chippewas closer to first place in the MAC in a key game against the Bobcats of Ohio. Even after 5 games it is tough to get a good read on Ohio, as they have simply won the games they were supposed to win and lost the games they were supposed to lose (W- Pittsburgh, Kent St…L- Northwestern, Virginia Tech, Bowling Green). However, it is Central Michigan’s homecoming game, and they have a 5-1 record ATS in this series since 1991. Look for Chippewas to keep the train rolling 3 weeks in a row by defeating the Bobcats at home in front of a packed house at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Lets hope so. Do u follow Central Michigan a lot or just a gambler riding this team all year!?!? I think with Cen. Mich. qb (senior leadership) should cover this one. I like that it's at 6. 7 would be iffy, but i'll take it for 5 units at -6!
