Central Mich (-6) vs. Ohio
The Ohio University Bobcats will attempt to record their first road win of the season when they travel to Mount Pleasant this Saturday for a Mid-American Conference tilt with the Central Michigan Chippewas. As for the Chippewas, they are kicking off a three-game homestand starting with this contest.
OHIO:On the season, Ohio is averaging a woeful 15.8 ppg and 278.6 ypg
in total offense. Defending the pass has become an issue for Solich's defense, which is giving up over 300 ypg through the air. Stopping the run hasn't been much better for the Bobcats, surrendering 164.8 ypg and 10 touchdowns already.
Central Mich: Ontario Sneed had a solid performance running the ball as well, rushing for 82 yards and a score. Sneed currently ranks 16th in the nation and third in the MAC with 652 yards and five touchdowns to his credit. They are allowing 295 ypg through the air and have given up 14 passing touchdowns already.
Analysis: Neither of these squads is going to dominate anyone with their offense, but the Chippewas are dangerous with the ground duo of Sneed and Smith. Ohio continues to get little production under center and will likely drop its fourth road game because of it.
Some info to look at:
Ohio QB Everson only 51% completion, just 1 TD pass and 7 INTs!
CMU's starting RB averaging 5.7 ypc! He'll be tough to stop, and allow the home team to control the game. Ohio 1-9 ATS last 10 on the road (0-3 this season) and have not covered in last 5 tries the second of back-to-back road games!
Pick: Central Michigan here by at least a touchdown w/ homefield adv. by at least 7
