Cavs fire Paul Silas

Surprising news out of Cleveland. Cavs aren't playing up to par according to management, but this seems a bit puzzling to say the least. So much for the Cavs' notion that Silas was the perfect father-figure / disciplinarian for LeBron and the rest of the team.
News conference scheduled for noon.

same thing crossed my mind. It seems only fitting that Jackson would be the guy to lead LeBron and the Cavs to the promised land.

Why these big name college coaches get tempted to go to the NBA is beyond me.How Coach K even considered leaving Duke I will never know.
Paul Silas is a great coach, and a class person. He got the shaft at New Orleans, and not gets the shaft at Cleveland. If I were Silas, I would put my job search in the NCAA, and leave the coaching wasteland of the NBA for other fools.
