On Bookmaker, the Cavs are -105 to win the "2009 NBA Eastern Conference". I thought this to good to be true so I asked them on livechat to confirm it was for the regular season, not the playoffs and they confirmed that it was for the "regular season conference".
What am I missing here?
The Cavs have a record of 62-15. Celtics are 58-19 (4 games back) and Orlando is 57-20 (5 games back).
Cavs have 5 games left:
vs. Washington
@ Philadelphia
vs. Boston
@ Indiana
vs. Philadelphia
Celtics have 5 games left:
vs. New Jersey
vs. Miami
@ Cleveland
@Philadelphia
vs. Washington
Orlando has 5 games left:
vs. Memphis
vs. NY Knicks
@ NJ Nets
@ Milwaukee
vs. Charlotte.
Isn't this pretty close to a lock, even if Boston beats the Cavs in Cleveland?
