Case Keenum seems like he has been at Houston forever. He was granted a sixth year of eligibility after injuring a knee early last season. The C-USA Player of the Year in both 2008 and 2009 will likely break the all-time NCAA passing yardage and touchdown's throw if he can avoid injury. He trails former Hawaii quarterback Timmy Chang by 2,462 yards in total offense and 3,486 yards passing and is 27 touchdown passes behind former Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell.

The 6-2, 210 pound 23 year old already ranks in the NCAA career top 10 with 14,448 career yards of total offense, 13,586 passing yards, 107 touchdown passes and 1,118 completions.

If Keenum can stay healthy, Houston should improve on its 5-7 record during 2010.

All those big college stats and nothing at the pro level. Incredible when you think about the difference between the two levels.

Huge difference WW. If one looks at all the Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks its easy to see that numbers and hype are not your best friend in the NFL.

One thing about C-USA is that they have a bunch of good 'college' quarterbacks. Along with Houston's Keenum, there's Tulsa's B.I Kinne, Central Florida's Jeff Godfrey, East Carolina's Dominique Davis, SMU's Kyle Padron and Southern Miss' Austin Davis. Let me add to that UAB's Bryan Ellis who threw for 2,940 yards last year. All these guys will put up big numbers this season.....of course C-USA defense's are not going to scare anyone to death.

Big difference between college and pro, big difference between C-USA and most BCS conferences (even the Big East... maybe.)

I think Houston will turn out to be an average ATS (5-7, 6-6, or 7-5) and SU team this year - even with Keenum back. Do you think they're going to field a defense this year or are they just going to let opponents score at will like last year? They had 8 overs and 4 unders last season. Honestly, UH's backup didn't put up numbers that were too bad at all after Case got hurt.

Kinne is a great story of overcoming adversity but man, it seems like he (and the rest of the team) have led in their shoes. They make the Big Ten look like speed demons. 4 overs 8 unders last year. First 4 games under, last 8 over.

Houston is just running Texas Techs old offense, a lot of former Leach guys there, or have moved on from there. East Carolina is the same way with Ruffin Mcneil and Lincoln Riley......qbs just benefit from the system

Stander, WW, Taylor...I think you guys are all on the right track. Houston will have to outscore teams to win. Their defense is terrible, especially against the run. Even after saying that...I think they will be up front in the C-USA Conference. The QB coming back will add BIG PLUS to this team.

Look out for Central Florida...I love that defense coming back.

First 4 games under, last 8 over.

Dyslexia strikes again. Reverse that. First 4 over, last 8 under.

Lots of UGA alums called that bowl victory last year by the Knights last year. UCF puts an offense on the field I agree they'll be more than competitive. I still remember their first game at their new stadium years ago where they almost beat Texas & a young Colt McCoy. That back was great. Had NFL written all over him. Will have to look him up....
