Anyone that speaks about Cascade's "unique numbers" is out of touch with reality, and basing their comments on past performance. Ever since the "shake-up" at Cascade last year, Cascade has had, for the most part, plain vanilla lines. It's a rare occassion that they have a number that you can't get at another book.
And Bowmans has gone down the same route. A year ago, even if you were being dealt the shittty line set, you could always find something to bet on ... particularly on moneylines. Now, it's like watching paint dry waiting to find a good number there.
And don't even get me started about the mighty "Grande" for baseball - I see a certain cross-section of people continually singing their praises, but I would go days at a time without seeing a bettable baseball number at Grande ... and I was looking. Other than their fairly high limits, they don't have a lot to offer.
Now, otherwise, these three shops are fine shops, and they pay .. but strictly in terms of line value, the present-day realities are that they just don't have the same line value that they had in the past ... and in this business, you can't live in the past.
