There is a politics forum for shit like this.
Thanks for the heads up. I figured others who try to stay away from there might be interested in seeing this too. Obviously you don't care about privacy, but I bet some here do.

please enlighten us as to what is fake here?

"Just so you are aware this idea of buying Congress members user history isn't actually going to happen, this law doesn't allow advertisers to buy data about individuals, but only anonymized aggregate groups. So you can buy browsing trends from an anonymous group in a specific zip code, but cannot pinpoint what an individual congressman is browsing. The Cable Act of 1984 specifically prohibits telecommunications companies from disclosing Personally Identifiable Information about their subscribers, and that law has been interpreted to cover Broadband Internet."

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Comcast and Time Warner will not be putting the extra revenue into customer service improvements.

You're right...I stand corrected. Not the first time I've been wrong, won't be the last.

correct that these cable providers will not pass the savings on to customers... what they will do is pass the income on to shareholders.

my advice is to buy SPB it is now paying a 1.2% dividend, the share price should increase over the next few years. use the dividends to help pay your cable bill and when you sell it think of the capital gains as a refund of every cable bill you ever paid.
