I'm getting the feeling that monsieur Carbonneau is about to fall through the ice at the Bell Centre in the near future. Coming into this evening's tilt in Edmonton, les Habitants were riding a 2-8 win-loss mark in their past 10 games. It should also be noted that three of those eight losses were to Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Toronto. The focus in Montreal these past few days has to be centered on GM Bob Gainey and his patience, that being how much longer he will put up with these losses. It's no secret that losing streaks in Montreal differentiate greatly to losing streaks on other cities like Tampa Bay, Ottawa or the Island.
Following tonight's game in Oil country, the Habs still have another four games remaining on this current road trip. Now the way the Canadien opponents have been feasting on their prey of late, one has to wonder if the head coach will even be associated with the team on the plane trip home when this road trip concludes.
Oh and by the way the last time I checked, after twenty minutes of action in Edmonton tonight, the Oilers had jumped out to a 4-0 lead over Montreal.
