playing pittsburgh (+4 on sportsinteraction) along with an over of 36, combined with a teaser (+10 pittsburgh, over 30) seems like a decent play to me?

1. Big Ben is "pushing" to run the no-hudle
2. Big Ben's numbers drop off DRAMATICALLY something ridiculous when he throws over 25 passes in a game
3. We all acknowledge the injury factor(s) re: Pitt; on the flip, Garrard's been thru his worst (i.e., more int's already than last year), jerry porter's getting healthly (fantasy, anyone, anyone??), Jax is set to roll.
4. However, the no-hudle against balt in the 2ndH worked, sort of, and Pitt seeking to avenge the playoff last at home last year; however, however, Baltimore is no Jacksonville, offensively speaking
5. Moreover, take Tampa Bay +3 to the house--Denver coming back to earth. Maybe even throw in a Houston +3 and Seattle +7 on the side.

Buy Jacksonville down to 3.5....to avoid the push...and go small....Pitt is beat up and should likely have a rough time against the jag D...

I guess everyone thinks Pittsburgh is beat up after the division game. However, Pittsburgh is 13-6 ATS as a Road Dog OFF a Division Game. Not a big trend. Not even a system, but worth noting.

Don't see how PIT keeps this close. PIT's oline is still struggling, and it should continue vs JAX, although JAX's pass rush has been terrible so far. Both teams are not the same as last yr's 2 meetings, so this one is a little difficult to cap. However, JAX being at home, and on primetime, gotta love the Jags at this pt. BOL.

I agree with you that it is tough to cap since these teams look nothing like last year. One could argue Double-Revenge for Pittsburgh, but at what point does revenge wear out? Maybe that team is just better, although I wouldn't apply it here. I'm just speaking in general. At what point does revenge wear off? I'm sure Baylor has infiniti revenge against Oklahoma this week, but at what point in time did people say Oklahoma is just better. 3 years? 5 years?

Good point on revenge, Go. I think revenge plays are purely based on upsets that happened the previous yr, or previous time they loss to hated team at home. Like Gravy bringing up OK ST. revenge over Troy St last Sat. Troy upset OK ST last yr, so OK definitely wanted to make up for that. Fresno is looking at revenge vs Hawaii this Sat, as HI embarrassed them at home 2 yrs ago. So in PIT's case, I actually believe they might be a little afraid of JAX at this pt. I know PIT's "D" is really tuff, and "fear" is not in their vocabulary, but JAX smacking them in the mouth 2 times at home, including in a playoff gm, has got to be intimidating to PIT overall @ JAX now.

jax -4, steelers have no running game, OR passing game right now. offensive line is playing bad. jags are playing great lately. steelers on road after an overtime monday night game, so short rest should hurt them. i predict a 20-14 jags win

Anybody got stats on the home team on a Sunday Nighter lately?

Nothing stands out for sure, but Pitt is beat up after a Monday Night Miracle winner over a Raven's team that imploded.

Mendenhall is out, parker is out and Big Ben's arm is about to fall off. Jags are slowly getting healthier.

IMO the Jags are the only side to take or you pass
