I'm expecting the number to be around 7.5. If it's 8 I'll take the under, and if it's 7 I'll take the over. 7.5 I'll most likely lay off.

7 is probably the magic number for me to take the over with Miami..But I think we'll see alot of improvement out of the Canes this season.

The 'Canes cleaned up in recruiting this season, especially here in South Florida. If I am not mistaken, they got at least 6 studs from the Star-Studded Miami Northwestern team, including a WR, QB, O-Lineman. I wish they had got Patrick Johnson, who will excel for LSU, but you can't win them all.

Those recruits likely won't have a big impact on how the team does this season though. It's a good sign for Miami, and teams like Miami, FSU and Notre Dame will be power teams once again soon, but this year they are still a year or two away. Miami should be a bowl team this year though at the very least.

But they got Buchanan!

I think Miami wins 8 this year. It seems they are a getting more stable down there.....

Miami has a VERY favorable schedule this season. I think 8 wins is a cinch.

I read on another board that UF is -20 against Miami at GN. Can anyone confirm?

if true, thats an interesting line. last year, uf was a 14 point fav. against fsu. now with an improved team they're only favored by 6 more points againt miami? :think2:

i know miami owns uf, but uf should be improved. the only question is there defense and with miami playing a new qb, i dont know if they have what it takes to keep up with a fast, high-powered uf offense...ill take uf -20

CB - I found that number on Warchant - posted by a guy who said he got it from the Golden Nugget in Vegas. I haven't been able to find a number anywhere on the net, but I've only looked at a couple of places. The Canes still don't have much of an offense and they certainly don't have an OC. That will be their biggest liability. Plus they are just young. If they win 8, that is a hell of a season for them.

Miami doesn't own UF. Where were the Canes in the 90s when UF would have owned them? Miami has been fortunate to be up when UF has been down. Now the tables are turned for a change.

In my opinion, you guys got an even better cb than Patrick Johnson in Brandon Harris. This guy shut down AJ Green, who was rated the #2 receiver in the country last year. Your last recruiting class was sick; unfortunately, you got a coach who will turn out much like Zook was for us.
