No bonuses for me since I apparently checked out their lines without depositing money 1 or 2 years ago. Its like they don't really want new business.

Deposit with a good book and give them some action. Forget the bonuses. Canbet is a nice selection.

Bonus's more often than not are the equivalent of waving a red flag IMHO!!!! Have been with C'bet for "many" years and due to the regulations they must abide by, you will not find a more secure book!!!!

That's a bit ridiculous. What do you suggest new books, or books that don't have the marketing muscle or bookmaking expertise of an Olympic or Pinnacle do to get and keep customers?

What regulations are those exactly? I wasn't aware that England had stringent regulations that would make a book located there more "secure" than others.

The United Kingdom have zero regulations, 6/7 bookies hit the wall in the last 15 months or so over there, gamblers never got a penny.

So where are the ****ing regs ??

I am suggesting the 30-40-50% and more bonus's can be eroded rather quickly with non-payment.

I would also think bookmaking expertise would be a prerequisite when searching for a book!!!

As far as the following.

Your position as well as Miamiman, correct me if I am wrong..There are no regulations under which C'bet must operate?

Stringent screams for comparisons, could you be speaking of C.R., Panama etc.?

That wasn't at all what you were suggesting earlier. You said bonuses....period. Not 30-40-50% bonuses, not overly generous bonuses, not extravagant bonuses, just bonuses.

Next time you might want to be a little more specific, and then you won't have as far to backslide.

If you insist.

Your comment was "due to the regulations they must abide by, you will not find a more secure book!!!!" I asked you What regulations are those exactly?

Do you actually have an answer, or were you just expressing an ill-informed opinion?

Then leave out stringent and just tell us precisely what those regulations are that Canbet must abide by that makes them such a "secure book!!!!" in your opinion.

Nice try at dodging the question, but what does the Australian holding company Canbet, Ltd. have to do with those regulations that Canbet the U.K. bookmaker must abide by that makes them such a "secure book!!!!"?

We'd all like to know exactly what those regulations are that you mentioned.

Do you actually have an answer, or were you just expressing an ill-informed opinion?

BTW, you're going to have to improve your backpedaling skills.

It isn't a guarantee, but being a publicly listed and traded company gives a LOT more security than what you have out there today outside of a few UK books. In particular it means their numbers have to be audited and if there is potential for disaster or fraud that can be found, it must be duly noted in their financial statements. I cringe at the thought of what the auditor statements would be for many of the books operating today.

No the regulations aren't as strong now that they are in the UK, but the UK is working on that and creating a regulating body and in a few years it will mean something.

WildBill:

Good points. Even though there are very few regulations in England, being a public company increases a book's safety factor, although Canbet is nowhere near as safe as they were before their move.

Makers:

Still no answer? Somehow I thought you'd come up blank again.

Next time stop and think before you post some ridiculous nonsense that you can't back up.

If we measure safety by the probability of a book going bankrupt, I'm sure Canbet is still as safe as it used to be. However it is true that the rigorous regulatory structure mandated by Australian law is no longer in place.
