BTW: the first part of his statement is correct;

He should have just stopped there.

Our leader should be on TV talking about the strengths of the economy, talk about how the economy will never be perfect and how there will always be bumps, talk about how we survived many such crisis's before, and we'll survive and prosper when this too passes, talk about "the only thing we need to fear, is fear itself".

Consumer confidence is the most important economic variable, and both Bush & McCain are doing a horrible job at framing the debate.

Palin will not be President if they lose this election ... she might not even yeild any power in the party ... because moderate Pubs wll blame her for the loss, righty Pubs will blame McCain for the loss and the pundits will blame both (and Bushie's record) for the loss.

Huckabee has no chance because he's been framed as the right-wing nut job ... and he's just too nice a guy.
