Can someone give me a brief synopsis of the Eagles game last night?

I missed the game and was wondering if you guys could give a quick recount of the game. How did the O line far on passing downs, did they have to resort to the TE's blocking again, how many sacks, hurried did Vick have?
Did the Falcons run it up the gut and take advantage of Matthews small size and lack of experience, how many picks from the Db's etc...?

eagles D line dominated the game for the first 50-55 mins atl struggled to run the ball with any great success. turner broke 1 late that inflated his numbers. atl had trouble moving the ball till the 4th, were scoring on short fields from eagles turnovers. the eagles move the ball fairly well all night, only time they didnt score really is when they beat themselves with dumb turnovers. eagles played a better game and if vick didnt go down, think they would have won it

And they absolutely gashed the Eagles run defense. Agree with kidman though, if Vick's in the game the momentum doesn't swing as drastic and Eagles most likely win that game.

Yup, if Vick stays..Eagles win. Plain & simple. HUGE momentum killer for Eagles.....even after McCoy scored that TD. Falcons were waiting to explode w/out VIck in the game...

Vick being out didnt really lose that, Kafka put them in good posistion...Eagles WR dropped alot of passes, and the D collapsed at the end, eagles more so lost that game, than the falcons won.

They may not have lost cuz Vick wasn't there......but you know it was affecting everyone MENTALLY.

dude ur dumb with vick on those offensive series before Atlanta scored probaly would have went down differently...more chances for the to keep picking up 1st downs and waste the clock out...if ur that dumb to not realize the injury of vick cost the eagles their chance im sorry for u.

I will tell you that Philly would have scored more points if Vick did not get injured. No, Kafka did not play bad but he in no way replaces Micheal Vick or what he brings to the table or against that defense. They moved the ball up the field at will against that porous defense all night long. I'm not trying to take anything away from Kafka but jesus he ain't no Vick.

I agree 100%. Vick doesn't play D. It's funny how many on here think Vick would have saved the day. I would be willing to bet that if the turnover machine, aka Mike Vick, was in and had to throw, ATL would have gotten another one. Those types of games are the Falcons MO....keep it close and then win the 4Q. As a football fan and sportsbettor, it should be pointed out that when the game was on the line, the Eagle D folded like a cheap tent. Falcons took one series and ran it down the eagles throats, then the next series they threw the ball all over the eagle secondary. Falcons have always had a bend but don't break D, and more times than not they play their best when the game is on the line. If I was an Eagle fan, I would be really concerned with the red-zone D. At least the shitty falcon D made some red zone stops. On a neutral field, Falcons probably win 6 of 10. Both offenses are good, both D lines hit the QB, and both Ds as a whole suck. It comes down to who man's up and who cowards up when the game is on the line. The QB that replaced Vick was a very good passer. Don't know how much of a down grade that is in the passing game. Both teams have a long way to go....imo.

Vick's fumble before the half cost me the first half cover .... Vicks injury in the 3rd quarter cost me the game .... So pretty much eagles should have but didnt ... End of story

LOL...also more chances for turnovers, something vick was dishing out in spades. You can't just dream up an alternate world that vick plays like a champ & wins the game. Nobody knows what wouldve happened. My point was simply that kafka did nothing to cost them the game. No picks, no fumbles, no tony romos.

true...vick can comeback down 21 with 7 min left. If the eagles were losing when kafka entered, thats one thing. But they scored a TD 2 plays after vick exited, had a 2 score lead. At that point the defense has to do their job, esp when vick is gone.
