i heard jim rome talk about that play for a solid hour on his radio show the day after it happened. he was laughing so hard...i had to go to a sportsbar for lunch so i could see the replay on espn. it was worth it.

he frickin' dove for that ball...hilarious.

i remember one of romey quotes "in spring training, a left fielder will practice an unassisted triple play before he will practice cutting off a throw from the centerfielder".
