Can A-Rod sign with another team after tonight?

I don't know who would want to sign the guy, but I'm wondering if this will be his last game. In some respects, a humiliating way to go out. Joe Girardi must not be a fan as he supposedly is not letting him play 3rd base in his final game. Somehow the Yankees are still in the running for a wild card spot, but I don't see why they shouldn't let him play. Jeter sucked all last year, but they didn't force him into stepping down during the season. They let him play short, whenever he was in the lineup. Granted A-Rod was a total a-hole at times, so in that sense he is getting what he deserves. On the other hand, I find that as an organization the Yankees are somehow making A-Rod a somewhat sympathetic figure at the end. Maybe he'll end up in the broadcast booth.

He becomes a "special adviser" to Hal right after tonight. But he could sign with another team IF he get a Stupid team to offer it to him.

Girardi hates the guy.....Love him or hate he should play 3rd base tonight.

This is one of the reasons why......Before the retirement news average price for a ticket $75.00.....After the news $477.00

I don`t care 1 way or another.....But the place will be a sellout because of him.

As much of a longshot as it may be, the Yanks are only 3.5 games out of the Wildcard race. IMO, Girardi is doing the right thing by putting out the best defensive lineup he can to try to win games. It was also said that A-rod hasn't even been taking many ground balls/getting in defensive work in a long time.

Yes another team can sign him but either A-rod has to void his 21 million dollar contract with the yankee's or the yankee's have to just pay him out right and release him. The yankee's have to pay him one way or the other, they have shown us they have done everything they can to keep him from breaking 700 home runs, so they aren't going to let him play for anyone else unless it saves them the rest of the 21 mil this year and all of the 21 mil this year. A-rod wants 700+ homes runs, but not at the cost of sacrificing 21 million dollars.
