We're not going to tell you that North Carolina isn't good. They may be the most talented team in the country. But Duke is simply too good to catch points at home... no matter who the opponent. Duke has lost straight up at home only 2 twice in their last 55 home games. They have beaten the Tar Heels 15 out of the last 18, and have been favored in the last 16 matchups between these two teams!! Furthermore, you have to go back to the cold winter of 1997 to find the last time the Blue Devils were an underdog on this court. That is just too much history to pass on. Never seen a game played at Cameron where the crowd and Coach K do not effect the officiating, and its not like we are betting on chopped liver here. Carolina gets a lot of press, and yeah they know how to stretch a lead, but Duke definitely is not in awe of the Carolina Blue. These teams have the same number of losses, despite the press clippings. The value is with the Blue Devils.

I would watch out on this one. Although ranked teams getting points at home are hard to pass up, NC may easily handle Duke here. Since losing to Wake Forest (a team that Duke also lost to), the Tar Heels have won by an average of around 23 points a game. Their average margin of victory for the entire year is over 26 points. They have won every game by double figures except a 7 point win at Indiana. Duke lost at home to Maryland on 1-26. NC beat Maryland by 34. I realize that NC is in the middle of a 3 game road trip that ends up at UConn on Sunday which is tough, but I see a possible blowout tonight.... just my opinion.

this is what big time college basketball is all about elite sports.duke is a legit 2 pt fav at home in my opinion and thats what worrys me. the line makes them a dog. some games are just meant to be watched not bet on so d rather watch this. i agree with your duke pick i just wonder about the line in high profile games like this one. maybe coach K passed out in thier last game when he suddenly realized the tarheels were next.lol. im kidding. good luck sir.

I agree with most of your analysis, but the one team that is not afraid of Duke, or Cameron Indoor is UNC. UNC is 6-1 ATS since '97 at Duke, 2-0 ATS at Duke the last 3 years, and 4-1 ATS the last 3 years overall.

I just feel that Duke is too thin to hang with the Tarheels. This game could get ugly...

Hard to go against a Duke team getting points at home. This game reminds me of 2 small home dogs in ACC that have been played so far.

The line opened as a pk on monday and was 2.5 at pinnacle about 6 hours later. Interesting to see what it does before game time.

McCants is the only Heel that can get his own shot. K will make sure Felton doesn't get many assists. If the Heels can run they will blow Duke off the court but they won't get to run. GOOD LUCK.

How I learned to stop worrying and love the tarheels

You all have pointed out an interesting factor. It looks like a trap. I can't imagine Duke not being favored just a little at open. They started as dogs at home and I can hear the money flying out of public pockets around the country to get on the easy win; Duke. So, I stopped worrying and placed about 1/3 my usual wager on the tarheels. No other analysis than that, but I won't lose much. Tulsa
