He is one of the best recruiters in college basketball....will do well, especially if he takes his Memphis recruits with him...sort of like Pete Carroll of USC in football...

UK hit a home run. Kentucky will once again be at or near the top of college basketball in a very short time.

Can't wait till Rick bitch slaps the Cats.
It should be interesting to see what JC can do considering he had the #1 recruiting class this year at Memphis. I love watching Rick's college teams, but Kentucky is going to get good again in a hurry. Good stuff. I like it when the powerhouse schools are good.

Funny thing is, I have no real hatred for Cal or UK.

Not UK fan and liked seeing Billy G get canned, but the reason I am pissed at Cal is because what he meant to the people and city of Memphis.

Was not a fan of Memphis, but pulled for them in Final Four when I heard Cal talk about how much it would mean to a city struggling as much as Memphis.

I grew in Cleveland and the 80's onward the team has been in a downward spiral and the Browns meant everything to that city. Tiger Basketball is something positive in another downward spiral for a city that is filled with violence.

If Cal stayed Memphis and KU were my picks next year to win it all and the support that Memphis gets is unreal.

I could never fault a guy for taking $35 million. It's all a business at the end of the day.

I wouldn't count on that.
One thing for sure. The UK/UL rivalry will be as intense as Duke/UNC.

While I think Calapari and Pitino might hate each other....the rivalary wont be ANYTHING like Duke/Carolina ....it will be the equal to Kentucky-Indiana...I say this only because they will MAYBE play each other once a year....they arent in the same conference.....UNC/Duke play each other 2 and sometimes 3 times a year with the ACC Tournament....they will definately be in a recruiting war every year with each other....but it wont be a big rivalry I dont think....if they were in the same conference.....now THAT would be a different story:103631605......Good move for coach Calapari though, everyone just kept saying well, he's in Conference USA....well, they cant say that anymore....he's one of the big fish...if not THE big fish! It was time for him to make the move! Im sure he's thinking about the respect card....just coldnt get it at Memphis in that weak ass conference...NO EXCUSES NOW!

Col. You couldn't ever fault a guy for taking 35 million. If that is not one of truest statements ever I don't know what is!
