The inevitable bad day hit me yesterday. But I'm feeling good today and ready to take another stab.
Race 1
This is truly a bunch of horrible fillies. I mean the 3 horse has never finished within 20 lengths of the winner in 4 starts and is 6-1 on the morning line! I can't find any betting value whatsoever. FABULOUS CAPER will be rushed to the front from the rail and might be able to wire them. Probably the most talented in here is SWISHINGONASTAR, though.
The bet: $10 exacta box 1-6
Race 2
Much better race. LU LU'S LAW just missed in last. The same effort would get it done here. I like White with first timers, but SPEED FEVER's works don't inspire me enough to put her on top. FASESHIP should definitely improve off that Calder effort last week, but she won't be close enough to the lead.
The bet: $20 W #8 $10 exacta 8/5,6
Race 3
There are a couple of 2 yr olds in here that could be ready to graduate, but as usual with babies I will shy from the favorites. OLIVER'S SUCCESS posted a nice 36.4 from the gate 5/10, then in debut at 5f was steadied repeatedly while close to the leaders. I'm hoping he will be overlooked by punters keying on the Braddy and Garcia runners so we can get a good price.
The bet: $20 WP #2 $6 ex box 2-8
Race 4
Everybody seems to like MR. SALTY. He has been claimed 3 times in 6 career starts. He has the turf breeding to compete against these and Ciardullo is aces first after the claim. Why not?
The bet: $15 WPS #4
