This race is totally lacking any speed. The only horse who has shown any willingness early is SPECIAL ENGAGEMENT so I expect her to be involved on the stretchout. I WISH I WAS had a rough time of it in her debut, could improve with the experience.

Wide open race has got me baffled so I'm looking for a price. SWIFT THUNDER certainly didn't embarass himself in his first try on the grass at GP and his breeding screams lawn - I think he'll make the lead, the question is will he keep it.

DJ'S HOPE has done no wrong since Plesa brought him back to Calder. However, I don't think 3 in a row is in the cards. I'm going to go with the closer here and hope Rosemary keeps PATRIOTIC FLAME close enough to get the money.

I've backed JAHBLESS in both his starts this meet and have nothing to show for it. Gonna give him one more try as I see the two outside horses will guarantee a fast enough pace for the old boy to run into.

IMPRESSIVE SOLDIER looked very impressive breaking his maiden on grass, then came right back and almost beat winners next out. After a switch back to dirt where he made a nice middle move, Pilotti puts him back where he belongs.
