I love the works for MUSICAL CHARM. Fawkes has taken his time getting this filly in shape and he's just so damn capable with 2 yr olds. Wouldn't be surprised if we heard from FROLIC TIME here as she is apt to improve off her debut with a better break.

I really can't get a good feel for this race so I'm taking a shot with ITSIBITSIBIKINI because of her experience on the track and the fact that since she failed miserably in the slop there's a good chance the punters will ignore her. The value will be there, will the ability?

MUSICAL BEAT will be hammered at the window and he's no sure thing as he may need a race here. This will give us generous odds on LAGARTIJA - here's a colt that in five starts has yet to run on a fast track. Who knows what he's capable of? At perhaps 20-1 I'm willing to find out.

The pace sets up perfectly for STATUE to jump from mid-pack and wave bye-bye in the lane. I'm a bit tentative because of the class hike, but these aren't the toughest bunch for their level - let's hope Castro has patience.

You've got to go back 8 starts to find the one race on the lawn for NORSHADE but it was a strong effort right here at Calder. Although this is his first against winners, I'm going to ignore the rules and trust Mr. White's judgement.

Castro & Olivares just missed scoring with JETSTER against Royal Lace and that effort was flattered when Lace came back to win again last week. She fits and I love the connections.
