people fail to realize, even under the OLD system cal does NOT go to the rose bowl, so they did not deserve it anyway.

The BCS is bad but it's still better than the old system which would have had USC, OU and Auburn playing in 3 different bowl games for the national title. USC-Rose, Auburn-Sugar and OU-Orange. At least you get 2 of the 3 teams here. I know that doesn't make the Auburn fans feel any better though.
