I guess I am confused as to why people think BYU and SDSU were the correct sides. Memphis was up 10 with 11 minutes left before making a boneheaded INT (why would you be throwing there) and then fumbling the very next kickoff then throwing a pick 6. Memphis also had one touchdown called back (60 yard run) and BYU had a pick 6 that by the book should have been a pass int ( flag picked up because they said that the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage while it was not) and a BYU touchdown where the guy was clearly down at the 3 yard line and play was not even reviewed.
As for the Navy SDSU game, Navy had 3 unforced fumbles that kept SDU in the game and if not for them Navy probably covers fairly easily.
I think people are confusing "bad beats" with close games. Just because a game is close at the end and you lose the bet, does not mean it was necessarily a good bet. In both the Memphis and Navy games, I would consider them both the correct side and the only reason that two games were in question of covering was some bad luck that went against both teams.
