As usual you are wrong. Dems tend to be much more tolerant of other cultures as well as much less ethnocentrical.
The conservative self important attitudes of repubs along with their world bullying policies are what stired hate to a level high enough to cause the 9-11 attack. Conservative attitudes and behavior are what most promote the ugly American stereotype.

I don't know about using 9/11 as an election tool, but......his actions following 9/11 showed most of America that he is truly a man of moral character and integrity. He has impressed the hell out of me in times of crisis. And not once have we had to deal with issues like, "well, what is the definition of sexual intercourse."
